Generic 120V 1/2" Electric Impact Wrench Kit--Works Great!!!,
By
This review is from: Denver Tools 12810 1/2" Electric Impact Wrench Kit (Misc.)
I was hesitant to purchase this impact wrench due to the low review. I researched many other impact wrench and found that many were identical to the Denver Tools impact. There are two different low cost models offered on Amazon. There is the "Denver Model" which comes with a case and 4 sockets and a the other model which may come with a set of replacement bushes. The model with replacement brushes has screw out holders on each side of the impact motor. (See toolsnow 1/2" electric Impact). If you use your tools enough to need to replace the brushes then order the second model but that model does not come with a case and impact sockets for the lug nuts.I bought two "Denver" electric impact wrenches. They work great. I plan to use one on the road on my Dodge 3500 dually. The impact requires 7 amps @ 120V. To use this powerful impact wrench on the road you must have an inverter rated at least to 1000 watts continuous output. With an inverter installed in the cab and a 25 foot 12/3 extension cord, you can use the wrench on all your tires and reach the tires on a normal trailer. Pros on the Denver Model--Powerful, comes with case and impact sockets. Cons--It is heavy but so are the other low cost models. The forward/reverse in on the rocking trigger switch. A more expensive model would have an independent forward/reverse switch and the trigger would be variable speed only. The carrying case locking devices are fragile and will not last long with rough use. In summary, the "Denver" model offers the case and sockets. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the torque of this model. I bought two of them and would buy them again. The "Toolsnow" model is exactly the same except it has easily changeable brushes. I recommend the carrying case and sockets. I have very rarely changed brushes on my hand tools. Look at the pictures in Amazon.Com before you buy, The electric impact wrenches are very similar. Don't be fooled into paying more for the same thing!

Great tool for motorcycle. It only took one person to work on removing the front drive pulley bolt and other big bolts. Very easy and quick. I would recommend it to motorcycle owners.

Nice for general things. But for something like to unscrew a motorcycle bolt over maybe 70 torque. its just useless.
