Wife Loves It...
This product is very festive and very artfully made... I believe this will make a great Halloween display next year, cant wait!!!

Lighted features disappointing.
I ordered the entire "haunted rails" set, including the cars, caboose, platform, and station. Most pieces were fun and look very spooky in the dark. The engine, however, was very disappointing. It just looks like a big dark spot in the middle of the rest. You can't see the "flickering stove" except from the back, and you can only see the headlamp from the front...

I ordered the entire "haunted rails" set, including the cars, caboose, platform, and station. Most pieces were fun and look very spooky in the dark. The engine, however, was very disappointing. It just looks like a big dark spot in the middle of the rest. You can't see the "flickering stove" except from the back, and you can only see the headlamp from the front. Naturally, when you display it, you place it sideways with the other cars behind it, so it appears completely dark. People who have seen my display ask if the engine is broken, since it appears not to be lit up. It would have been nice if Dept 56 had added some lighted features on the sides (the other cars have lighted windows). Just wanted to point this out so others will know what they are getting and won't be disappointed as I was.
