This review is from: Depression and Bipolar Disorders: Everything You Need to Know (Your Personal Health) (Paperback)
The authors state that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is an appropriate treatment for mood swings caused by perimenopause. Studies published in ACOG journals have shown the opposite can be the case. HRT does not help mood swings and can possibly make depression worse. I would NOT reccomend that any woman looking for advice on how to live with bipolar disorder use this book as a reference.
