Book Description

July 1998 A Schiffer Book for Collectors
This book represents an extraordinary sample of Depression era glass, because Tiffin was an extraordinary glass company. Its output during the Depression was well documented and enough to keep any collector occupied for years. Most of the glass presented in this volume is from the 1920s and 1930s. With detailed captions for the more than 450 illustrations--color photographs, catalog pages, advertisements, and drawings--it is a guide to help the collector, researcher, and dealer identify, price, and enjoy this compelling glassware.

4.0 out of 5 stars Depression Era Stems & Tableware: Tiffin, January 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Depression Era Stems & Tableware: Tiffin (A Schiffer Book for Collectors) (Hardcover)
This is a very good book on Tiffin depression era glassware. The pictures are great and clear. However, the pricing is only for stemware and bowls. The pattern descriptions on some pieces is lacking. There are quite a few pictures from pages of catalogs.
The gold decorations that Tiffin made are just shown on one page, but nothing else is written or shown about them except for the Melrose pattern.
No price list for other pieces made for a particular pattern. A more detailed book on Tiffin's patterns would be better.
