I love the Undercover Brothers almost has much as the orginal Hardy Boys. I can never put one of the books down which is why I usually wipe out the libarary so I have enough to read for at least 3 days. I was excited when I saw the Murder House book. I picked it up and read it through in one night. Very good book and can't wait for the rest of the Murder House Trilogy!

Young celebrity Ripley Langsing gets a treat saying if she wins the reality show Deprivation house she losses her life, but instead of quitting she ask for security and unknowingly gets Frank and Joe Hardy agents of the secret Government group A.T.A.C.
This is among the best books in the series. Some feel that reality shows are an overused plot after Bayport Buccaneers and Mad House, but this time they are making it work better. Also the characters are great, since this is a reality show you are stuck with them for the story and thus you get more time with them and feel like you "know" them more than in a lot of the other stories. Unlike the previous reviewer I like these books a lot and read them faster than say a case file, unless it is a really good one like #4 or something.
Now about the trilogy. This book flaw, in a way, is that it has its own little plot that they defeat by the end of the book instead of going on. I think the author was going for an "it's the end, oh wait its not" moment, but most of knew it was a trilogy. I hope the other books will be as good if not better. I just got my hands on the next one and can't wait to start it. So in short this is a great start to what I hope will be a great Trilogy.

Something is missing from this new series of the Hardy Boys. The stories do not flow well. The style of writing is very choppy. The older series, including the Casefiles were written much better. With the Casefiles, I would be finished reading a whole book in an hour or less because it was written well and I would just get into it. These, I couldn't even finish Deprivation House in one sitting. It bored me. I had read the hardcovers, the softcovers, and the Casefiles of both the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew and the Supermysteries and this series just doesn't hold a candle to them. Thanks.
