Estacado at his finest
I really liked this volume better than the 5, that was a little... on the down side. This one has great art, great story telling in most of the stories, and Estacado is at his very finest, and at odds with the darkness that doesn't even let him sleep at night because it's when it thrives! I really liked this volume of "The Darkness"!!! XD

Not a fan of Darkness v.2, nor this collection
Compared to the first run of The Darkness (issues 1-40, roughly), the second go-around seems a little lackluster. The art isn't as good for the most part, and the story doesn't diverge enough from the first telling to make me care. Finally, I was misinformed somewhere that this particular collection included the Black Sails one-shot wherein the Darkness is a pirate on the...

Compared to the first run of The Darkness (issues 1-40, roughly), the second go-around seems a little lackluster. The art isn't as good for the most part, and the story doesn't diverge enough from the first telling to make me care. Finally, I was misinformed somewhere that this particular collection included the Black Sails one-shot wherein the Darkness is a pirate on the high seas. It was my primary motivation for picking up this volume, and proved to be incorrect. That story is not included here. Avoid repeating my mistake.
