5.0 out of 5 stars Best yet!
This is Moody's best effort yet! Will and Cheryl's adventures bring them this side of the Atlantic and find themselves up to their handlebars in excentric, goofy and shady characters. Not as much biking as the previous two Moody books, Two Wheels and Perfect Circles, but the new and interesting characters more than make up for that. Awesome ending that didn't really...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as previous books
I read Moody's first 2 books which I really liked, so I decided to get the next one in the series, but somehow this one doesn't grab me as much. Lots of people dying in the first chapters, a crazy woman going on and on...

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Follow-Up to Moody's Previous Books, May 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Derailleur: A Cycling Murder Mystery (Paperback)
"Derailleur" is a worthy follow-up to "Two Wheels" and "Perfect Circles", though "Perfect Circles" is still the best of the three, IMHO. Derailleur takes some pretty interesting plot turns, and while there seem to be fewer descriptions of the cycling experience (which is fine, since this takes place at an MTB race), it's a more fully-developed story than Moody's previous works.

All in all, if you've enjoyed Moody's first two books, you'll want to continue on to "Derailleur".

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, September 7, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Derailleur: A Cycling Murder Mystery (Paperback)
After reading some of the other reviews posted here, I had to write in to say that I was quite disappointed in "Derailleur." I enjoyed Moody's first two books immensely, but not this one. The plot isn't compelling, the cycling isn't to be found, and the characters aren't engaging. Did I really read the same book as the other reviewers?

3.0 out of 5 stars Third Time Lacks Charm, July 17, 2000

I loved Greg Moody's other two books, but this one fell sadly short of the mark. Too silly, and doesn't contain those interesting insights to the world of cycling that made the other books a hit.
