I had the pleasure of reviewing the manuscript as well as the first edition of this book. The book is laid out wonderfully and it is chock full of information. I will switch my class text in favor of this book the next time I teach the course. Great info on the website on model computation. Buy it. Read it. Kudos to Sundaram and Das.

Great book, very well written, comprehensive, and easily absorbed with many practical examples. The book is organized very well giving the reader the option of a quick or a detailed read. Moreover, the book has plenty of case studies and graphics to illustrate and support the key concepts.

Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I am delighted that I purchased this book. It is by far the best book I have read in the field of Derivatives. First, it is very comprehensive, covering all derivative classes from futures and options, through interest rate swaps to credit derivatives.

More importantly, the material is presented in a readable way without compromising mathematical rigor. With an experience on Wall Street and an advanced degree in finance, I find it extremely hard to find material that keeps a good balance between an analytical and academic presentation, and relevancy to the industry. This book is successful in meeting this challenge - using plenty of trading strategies, case studies, examples and problem sets, the book speaks both the language of the academic ivory tower and that of the trading floors on Wall Street.

If you have any interest in this field - this is a must have book.
