I purchased this cream after reading Dr. Perricone's books in regards to wrinkles, etc. He recommends Ester C, DMAE, and ALA in your skin care regime but his costs for these ingredients is a lot more than what Derma E sells them for and, although I have not tried Dr. P's stuff, this does work amazingly well! I use it in conjunction with Retina A Micro (for acne) and have noticed a significant reduction in the forehead wrinkles that I was started to get as well as the overall texture of my skin. So much so that I have not worn make up in a long time! Although I am only 28 yrs old I was starting to see forehead wrinkles and feel like it is never to early to start using anti- aging products. I have used one jar of this stuff which lasted over a month and I am happy with the progress. I just ordered a new bottle on amazon.com because it was a significant amount less than what the health food store was charging. :) I am a very happy customer. Oh and just to clarify I also have noticed that my skin seems to be smoothing out where I have scars from cystic acne on my cheeks. Not sure if it is retina a or derma e but I do notice fuller cheeks. YAY!

Potential purchasers would do well to note the directions ("PLEASE NOTE: Contains 1% of Alpha Lipoic Acid. May cause tingling when applied.") It should be listed under "possible side effects" and be in bold type. I tried this product and got the tingling, followed by red blotches which remained for 12-18 hours, and my face was still itchy 48 hours later. I don't normally react to skin care products and have used both Retinol and Alpha/Beta hydroxy products without issue, but consumers would do well to make sure they can use this before buying it, or have someone you can fob it off to if it causes you to be red faced after a time or two.
