Simply the BEST,
By KC Winslow (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews Dermalogica is a dermatologist recommended line of skincare products that you won't find in your local drugstore. Dermalogica rarely advertises and relies mainly on word of mouth. Their website can help you locate retailers. I first learned of the Dermalogica line while getting a facial. The aesthetician recommended it highly and told me where to find it. A month later (after my wallet had recovered from the facial) I went to the store and picked up my first container of the Daily Microfoliant. As its name implies, the Daily Microfoliant is gentle enough for daily use, but don't go thinking that means it is wimpy. This stuff seriously gets the job done. Unlike most exfoliants, the Daily Microfoliant comes as a powder. After cleansing, with your face still a little damp, you shake a little of the powder into your hand and mix it with a small amount of water so that it forms a paste. Then you massage in small circles over your face for a minute. The first time I did it, I was worried because it felt so gentle, I didn't think it could possibly have the result I wanted, but when I rinsed it off, my face felt like it had been sandblasted (in a good way!). The best aspects of this product are that it has nothing artificial in it, it works better than any exfoliant I've ever used and one bottle lasts between 4-5 months with daily use. The only downfalls are that it is a bit pricey (but it really does last for a long time) and it can take a few tries to get the hang of using the powder. The best testament to how I feel about this product is that my mom and sister both got a bottle for the holidays!

Silky Smooth Face,
By A Customer
After an esthetician at Glen Ivy Spa in Corona, CA used this on me during a facial I had, I fell in love immediately. I had been searching for a great exfoliant that I could use to help me eliminate the dead skin on my face and the blackheads on the sides of my nose. As she explained it, the papain is a natural ingredient that removes the dead skin and therefore is much safer than exfoliant scrubs. Not only is it safer than scrubs, but it is safe and gentle enough for everyday use. After I came out of the facial, I noticed my blackheads were gone and my face was silky smooth once again. She said that blackheads formed because dead skin would be lodged into pores and as more and more dead skin continues to block the pores, they turn black and become the enemy, blackheads. By using this powder when mixed with water becomes a cream, it will help prevent the reoccurence of blackheads and your skin feels smooth again too. It costs a pretty penny, but your face will thank you.

Great for sensitive skin!,
By WhoopDeeDoo (Richmond, Va, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, 2.6-Ounce (Misc.)
I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. I was experiencing horrible break-outs on my cheeks and chin in my early 30's and decided to finally see an aesthetician. Having sensitive skin meant that I could not endure benzyl peroxide, intense glycolic peels, or even microdermabrasion. Her answer was to treat me with a series of mild lactic acid peels and have me follow a regimen of Dermalogica products, including Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant. After 6 weeks of treatment, my skin stopped breaking out and healed. After 10 weeks of treatment, my skin evened out and I my scars were barely noticeable. At 12 weeks, I could leave the house without any make-up and no one would have ever guessed I had acne.
I have continued using Dermalogica products and I notice a difference when I am not using the Microfoliant as my skin feels rougher than usual and I get small breakouts on my chin. I don't always have to use it every day but it is gentle enough so that I could if I wanted to. With my sensitive skin, it is the only thing that doesn't make my face red and irritated after using it.

Do your skin a favor,
By Michelle888 (Australia) - See all my reviews After using this a few times and getting used to the application, which isn't actually difficult, I have found this product truly wonderful. This rice-based enzyme powder contains plant derived ingredients that help brighten skin, leaving it looking refreshed. The Licorice extract known for its lightening properties will also assist in evening the skin tone. This is even better than the Gentle Cream Exfoliant, which I have loved for many years. My combination skin absolutely loves this product. This product is very gentle and would suit even the most sensitive skin. I have combination skin and use this twice a week. To use this, mix a teaspoon with some lukewarm water until you get a paste-like, not watery, consistency. Massage the mixture onto your skin for about a minute, then rinse the remaining product. Look in the mirror and see the remarkable result that this product gives your skin. Absolutely fabulous!

Wonderful Product, not Hype,
This product really does what it says. I have been using it for years and my skin is in fact noticably smoother and not as acne prone as it used to be. It has also helps to even-tone my african-american skin. Makeup goes on better, sometimes I can even go without, like today. I use only 1 tsp. daily, in the AM in place of a cleanser. It foams and "cleans" my skin pretty much, removing oil and other overnight residue. I also sometimes use a little less H20 to make a paste and apply it as a mask. My bottle lasted me a year in a cool dry place to prevent it from gumming up. Highly recommended and worth the price.
