Doesn't work on warts,

I'm not sure about other applications (cold sores, etc) but don't waste your money if your problem is a wart. I carefully followed the directions. The light flashed as it was supposed to, showing that the device was working. However, it had no effect on the wart whatsoever. After months of using the device, I gave up.

This product is a complete waste of money. The DermaSeptic Skin Healing Device did not eliminate the wart on my finger. I've been using this product for weeks and nothing has happened. This product is not even patent. The product gives a warning when using this device that the wart may grow larger. Well gee, it's probably because it doesn't work. They way this device works is you use this silver conductive gel to place on the contact plate then you lightly press the tip to the area that you wish to treat. When doing this your suppose to see a green LED flash to let you know that the device is working. The green LED hardly flashes at all. The battery this device uses is a CR2032 3v Lithium Cell. Though I could be wrong about this product because it does claim in its instruction booklet that removing a wart could take months due to high tissue build up, I will find another alternative to this product. Buyer Beware.

Over the years I can still remember the cookouts, gatherings and parties that I had to avoid because of these breakouts. Not to mention having to periodically call out sick from work for days at a time, jeopardizing my career. Regardless if your career primarily calls for you to come face to face with potential clients, costumers or just coworkers, your confidence is drastically lowered knowing there are sores on your face. Calling out sick only creates an air of not being dependable in the eyes of those who depend on you. Disclosing the actual reason is an option, if it wasn't so friggin' embarrassing!
Who would have thought the little ad in the Sky Mall magazine placed behind seat 3c on Delta Airlines held the answer to this life long battle. I've seen this ad every time I flew. The last draw, a breakout so bad it made me say every curse word in the English and Spanish language out of frustration. I bought the H-balm...SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! It feels like its doing something....that's it. The next breakout wasn't because I was sick, I had peanut butter. Stay away from peanut butter!!! I felt the tingling sensation, applied the Dermaseptic as directed, no sore, no scab, a little discoloration but the most important thing no days missed from work! PRO's 1. Compact, can be taken anywhere. 2. Battery included and last a LONG time!! 3. Actually works (at least for sores). 3. Will cause you to attend every affair, whether personal or professional. 4. Your confidence stays intact. CON's 1. May cause a little discoloration, but it beats the alternative! 2. May cause you to spend more money from being more social (gas, drinks, condoms, etc. lol!) 3. If you don't get it and try something else, you'll only purchase this product anyway. Save your money! We are in a recession folks! This is my P.S.A. (public service announcement): STAY AWAY FROM PEANUT BUTTER IF YOU SUFFER FROM COLD SORES!!!

After seeing it in air mall magazines for years, I finally broke down and bought it and now I am upset that I waited so long. This thing is magic. I have used it on cold sores and inner mouth irritations and they just go away. I don't know how, I don't care how. I feel for once that I have viral skin issues under control. I had been using colloidal silver with good success and have seen any cold sores diminish - like the colony dies every time I expose it to silver because the next time I have an outbreak it is like a pinpoint instead of a jelly stain. But this device just makes anything go away in hours. I highly recommend it!

Works great for cold sores,
This review is from: Dermaseptic Skin Healing Device (Health and Beauty)
I've been getting an insane amount of cold sores lately and was just utterly fed up. Six cold sore outbreaks between late October and now early December. I received a glycolic acid peel on my face at a spa, unaware that these chemical peels would trigger my cold sores. It's been awful.
I just tried Dermaseptic for the first time yesterday. I woke up with the tell-tale tingling of a cold sore and immediately pulled out my Dermaseptic device and got to work. I applied it for about 15 minutes for the first application and went about my day. The directions say to apply it for about 5 minutes every 3 hours but I really wanted to be more aggressive with the treatment. So 15 minutes every 3 hours and the sore has literally retreated. There is only a very small patch of dry skin that is only detectable when touched. It doesn't even look like dry skin. After years of suffering from these horrible and painful sores, I really couldn't ask for anything more.

I got this for my daughter several years ago and we both use it. We use to have to suffer through at least a week with a painful and embarassing cold sore. My daughter was teased to no end at school. Now, if we catch the cold sore at an early stage, it is eliminated with no trace. If a sore has already errupted, it is stopped at that point and allowed to heal. It basically kills the virus on contact. I need to order another for me since my daughter has moved out.

Amazing on cold sores!!!,

This review is from: Dermaseptic Skin Healing Device (Health and Beauty)
This product is absolutely amazing! I recently started getting cold sores; and was getting them all the time (2-3 times a month!1). I'd get the itchy tingling sensation and within a couple of hours my lips would be fully swollen, red, puffy, itchy and the sores would be forming; soon thereafter I would get sores all over both my lips and then came the oozing and the burning, followed by the scabs all over... Painful, so ugly, I couldn't go to work until the scabs began to heal and it would take at least 7 days for the lips to heal.
I tried Abreva (which worked, but only to some extent), the generic version of Viroxyn, Lysine lip gloss, etc.. Nothing seemed to significantly help. Browsing through Amazon I ran across Dermaseptic and after reading the reviews I thought it was worth a try. It is worth every single penny! Now whenever I feel the first sign of a cold sore I treat it as aggressively as possible (I use it more often and for longer than the instructions indicate) until I it stops progressing and it recedes. After using it I apply Abreva and follow with a Neosporin to help it heal and to prevent discoloration caused by the treatment with the Dermaseptic. Once I apply the Dermaseptic, the sores stop progressing within a few hours, and they never get to the blistering/ oozing stage, and by the next day all I have are dry lips that I treat with applications of Neosporin and petroleum jelly. No more staying at home hiding and missing days at work! Just make sure to take it with you everywhere so at the slightest sight of a cold sore you can start treatment. The sooner in the development of the cold sore that you start the treatment, the better results you will get. If you suffer from cold sores, I would highly recommend this product. It will make your life SO much easier and enjoyable!!

Dermaseptic Cold Sore Device - Not worth a penny!,

This review is from: Dermaseptic Skin Healing Device (Health and Beauty)
I have suffered from cold sores all of my life. They are painful and ugly and I get disgusted with myself everytime one appears. There's so much hype on the internet, you really don't know which reviews are possibly paid or just trying to sell you something. After springing the $100 for the device, it took a few months for one to appear (I usually get them 3 or 4 times a year). As soon as I felt the first sting, I broke out the dermaseptic, applying about 5 minutes a session, 4 times a day. Surprise, no change, didn't shorten the outbreak period, didn't minimize the size of the sore itself, didn't shorten the healing period. $100 bucks out the window. The best I can tell, Abreva, may shorten the duration of the healing period but the best answer is Famvir (500mg or 1000mg), which is extremely expensive, but if you bombard your system at the first sting, it can stop the sore from forming. Don't waste your money on these devices, go to the Dr., get the prescription and shuck out the money. I can't see any other way.

Been using the product for about one year now on about 3 occasions on cold sores. I haven't really noticed effectiveness of the device. The only thing it might do is possibly shorten the healing process by a day or so but that's about it. Don't expect any miracles.

Dermaseptic Does not work,

waste of time and money. This does not work on Cold Sores. Do not believe the hype for this product. Go to your dermatologist and spend your money on products that actually do something.
