I give it 5 stars just for the simple fact that it does what it claims. If you use this as directed, you'll be very suprised. It's a little messy, I had to do 2 applications, took about a day and a half til I could go 'bandaid-less' without the paste. 1 actually came off yesterday (started the whole process 4 days ago) and the others definitely look like they are going to soon. It is a little painful & itchy (not to mention gross) but nothing awful. Those small round bandaids are perfect for this. I'll update this once they start to heal (the one that came off kind of looks like a little burn wound right now) and maybe I'll have during/after photos then. Also, it didn't really affect the healthy skin around it very much, and I know I wasn't very careful about applying it. Overall, it's worth the money. Careful about putting this in a place where others can see, it'll take a bit to heal and it turns the spot BLACK until it falls off. Wanted to also say the customer service is GREAT, the guy was super quick to reply to my emails and very nice/professional. I'll update in a few weeks!

update 3/27: All gone but a few holes/divots are left behind, not healed yet though and still red. Using neosporin and bandaids 24/7.

update 4/6: Divots have filled in, looking SO much better, just a bit red and discolored. Just started using prefer on scar treatment.

update 5/26: about half of the moles are starting to grow back (although smaller and flat). others are scars that lighten every week but still quite noticeable. will reapply to the ones reappearing.

update a year and half later: reapplied and they are ALL gone still, and the scars have almost vanished, just a teeny touch lighter than the surrounding skin, but certainly not noticeable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Stuff! Safe, Effective and No Scarring!, July 26, 2009
By
This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
I have some skin tags on my neck and some small moles on my face that have been popping up periodically over the years. They came from sun damage and aging. They have always bothered me because I didn't acquire them until my thirties.

I could have them removed by either laser treatment which is highly exhorbitant with no guaranty they won't scar or come back. Or I could do the freezing or cutting off at a doctors office which is very painful and they usually come back.

I first heard about Dermatend and other similar products from doctors years ago. A doctor I worked for applied it to a mole on my face. It'worked - it fell off in 4-5 days and it's never come back but it was a long time ago aND I don't live or work near them now so I did some research online and found the dermatend.

It's safe and when used properly very effective - no scarring. I've seen a few bad reviews here from others stating that it didn't work or they could do it on their own just as well - but I didn't see them explain how they used the product. I think it's real important to follow the instructions from the packaging which can be a bit vague but if you watch the online video you will be fine. you only need a tiny little bit for it to work. The package said I could remove 2-3 moles or skin tags with the amount I purchased but I've already removed 5-6 and I still have half left. So use it sparingly - this will help you get it directly on the mole or skin tag instead of the surrounding area too.

The key is be as precise as possible. Use sparingly, especially the first time, keep a steady hand when applying, & use a healing salve afterwards! Be sure to have a steady hand and let it dry before putting any bandage on it. If you put the bandage on too quickly you will smear the medication on the surrounding area which could cause some slight scarring so make sure the medicine has dried first. And also, make sure you put vaseline on the skin surrounding the mole BEFORE you start so that it protects it from the medicine. If you use my tips here there will be no scarring - but I also use really good facial products too - I've been using these products for years that have strong healing properties. So make sure you have a good skin healer and use it.

I use Skin Biology products which are copper peptide protiens that heal and rebuild skin cells. It actually heals scars! They're made by the doctor who discovered copper peptides. You can just google Dr.Loren Pritchard or copper peptides and you'll find his site.

All in all Dermatend does work extremely well and for the price you pay you can't beat the cost - its at least 10 times cheaper than a doctors office visit & procedure.

This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
I had a mole on my arm that I was thinking about having surgically removed. In researching mole removal on the internet, I found Dermatend. I was skeptical but figured I had nothing to lose because the money-back guarantee is so strong and I could buy it through Amazon with a credit card. I received it a few days after ordering and followed the instructions exactly. Within three days the mole turned into a scab. About a week or so from that point, the scab came off and you'd never know a mole had been there. There is some very minor scarring that looks like it will heal but my skin is perfectly smooth and I'm sure it's far less of a scar than there would have been from surgery. Bottom line is that this stuff is amazing!!! I have no connection with the company except that I'm a very impressed customer.

3.0 out of 5 stars review on 9 moles, August 7, 2011
This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
I have been meaning to put up a review for a week now but haven't had a chance to. Sorry this is a really long post but I wanted to try my best to give you as much information/reviews as possible on my experience.

My background information: I am mid 20's, hyper pigmented and my entire family suffers from many flat black moles on our body. They don't look bad to be honest, but I was particularly worried because in the last year my moles on my face had started to grow in size, and new ones were appearing. I looked like a constellation.

I was planning on having these surgically removed but I couldn't afford it yet. My mother this February '11 went to India and had 2 of her facial moles removed. They were quite big, the size of a pencil eraser and 3 dimensional as well, she has had them for many many years. The moles in India were removed by a dermatologist by putting some sort of abrasive paste on the moles, they fell off within a week, but she was left with DARK marks in that place which didn't look much better. The doctor said the moles would get lighter within a few weeks, it's been 7 months and they are the same. Seeing her expensive results made me worry that going to a doctor was not the answer.

I googled mole removal and heard about Dermatend. The reviews seemed too good to be true and I was VERY skeptical. I saw there was a money back guarantee but even then I was worried there would be a lot of loopholes. I emailed the company for some more feedback but I didn't get a response which made me more skeptical. To be honest I became desperate with these moles, and decided to go ahead and order anyways. I ordered the 2 bottles and healing balm off their website for $100.

I can't vouch for how fast the items came because there was a postal strike in my country around that time, so the package came in two months. The bottles were very small, the size of a mini toothpaste you can find for travelling, maybe even smaller. I was worried they wouldn't cover my moles. The healing balm was also small. I also got two toothpicks and a tiny emery board to scrape off the products. I figured these would leave awkward scars for a bit so I was waiting for a week that I was home to try out the product, ie had no company to see, etc.

I tried the product on July 10th for the first time. I put the product on my tiny black flat mole which was located near my side burn. The mole is very small, literally like the size of a comma, and I chose this one to try because it was so small and in a hidden spot on my face that I could risk if it didn't turn out so good. My mother went ahead and put it on the two moles the doctor had removed, they were no longer 3-d but they were still there just a lot darker and flatter. In all I tried this on 9 moles. I will give you my results for each of them below.

Here is how we did it:
(wash your face first, remove make up, tie your hair back)
Note: you are supposed to massage the bottle as per instructions to mix the mixture with air in the bottle so it's a nice consistency. I tried to do this fast and it ended up bursting the bottle and the goo spilled out everywhere. We had to clean it up quickly otherwise it stains quite fast. So we called the company up and they sent a replacement bottle asap. Luckily we had another bottle to work with still. So we lightly lightly massaged the bottle and shook it (while the lid was on ) to try to mix it up, this worked.

1. Take a toothpick and scratch at the mole. Use an emery board and go over this. I found it best to go around the outline of the mole and then go in circles within it. Don't be afraid to let it hurt, you want to ensure that it's penetrating the skin.

2. We took a hot towel and held it on the mole for a minute, and after let it air dry.

3. take a qtip and dip it in vaseline and go around the mole, DON'T go on the mole, but around it to ensure the area around the mole is protected. take the clean end of a qtip and touch the mole to ensure the mole has no vaseline on it from the process you just did.

4. Take a toothpick and put a TINY bit of the medicine onto the toothpick and put it on the mole. This requires a very steady hand, good lighting. Ensure you do not put it on the surrounding skin because otherwise the medicine will end up working on the clean skin as well. Some of my moles were so tiny that I literally needed a tiny tiny drop to do them. If you mess up, wipe it off, reapply vaseline and try again with the medicine. It's okay if the medicine is thick, but ensure it's not on any surrounding skin. If you feel a burning that's a good sign.

5. Once you are done, note the time and wait 30 minutes. I waited 45 minutes for all of mine. After time is up, wipe the medicine off with kleenex.

6. Almost immediately I saw the mole have a bump, or on some of my moles there was a dark brown layer over my moles. The thing is on the moles that I accidently ended up getting the surrounding skin, there was a big brown layer over my surrounding skin too. The best way I can describe this is you step in a puddle and you see the water spill out on the sides a bit, that's how it looked, a mole within a bigger circle of brown. Some moles were unaffected.

7. The moles that seemed unaffected, I repeated the process again 24 hours later. If there was again no result, I did the process again, until finally I got a result. On the moles that seemed to take effect by the medicine, I waited 24 hours and started putting on the healing balm.

8. Once I began this treatment, that area I was very careful not to touch. When I washed my face I used plain soap, I didn't scrub that area, just around it lightly. I didn't put lotion on it, I lightly let it air dry when it was wet from being washed, and I tried to avoid make up for those days. As I saw results with some of my moles, I started doing them on more and more moles.

My results...

Mole #1: This was the first mole I did on July 10th. It was near my left side burn, very small, like I said the size of a comma. Small, flat, black. It wasn't one I cared to remove but I figured since my hair could easily cover it up if a scar formed, I could afford to experiment with this one first. I got a brown layer immediately after taking off the medicine. I accidentally put too much around my skin and so my skin also had some of the brown layer on it. The brown layer grew overnight, and the mole went from the size of a comma, to the size of a pencil eraser and looked quite ugly. Luckily my long hair could cover it up. I put on the healing balm 3-4 times a day. Within a day or two it became a scab, dark brown and very crusty looking. I was VERY careful not to touch it unless I was putting on the healing balm, I was scared of knocking it off and infecting the process. Less than 2 weeks later the mole came off somehow on it's own, I think I was careless while showering. The result was a LIGHT spot in the place of it. I'm medium brown skin, so the spot was about 2 shades lighter. Not obvious at all. The surrounding skin that had been affected was also light. The mole darkened up one shade darker after a week or so. I continued putting on healing balm 3-4 times a day. I still don't scrub that area when I wash my face because it's still not back to my normal skin color. I am VERY pleased with this result.

Mole #2 & 3: I tried these two moles right after mole #1's results. One mole was in the middle of my chin, one in the middle of my forehead.black, flat and getting bigger as the months went by :S It was the reason I ordered this medicine to begin with. The size was the size of a pencil eraser. I was very careful as I put the medicine on but again it did get some of the surrounding skin. I had a scab the next day, and again it was dark brown, crusty, but this time it was quite thick as in almost 3-D. It was embarrassing to go out in public, I did put some cover up on it but it just made it a bit less noticeable. After a week I was washing my face and it accidently fell off. When it fell off it was so natural almost as if it was about to on it's own, as in I didn't disrupt the process. Again this was a spot 2 shades lighter in it's place. This spot was a tiny bit deeper for some reason, as in "it took a tiny tiny chunk" out of my skin. I think it's because this mole was slightly raised compared to mole #1. If I looked at the spot I could see a tiny black speck which shows that my mole actually shrunk up quite a bit. I continue to apply the healing balm 3-4 times a day and the spot is slowly getting smaller, it's beginning to close up and return to my skin color. If someone stands infront of me they can see the lighter spot. It looks much better though since it's not a big black dot on my chin and forehead, however I can barely see it in the mirror and as days go it's getting much better.

Mole #4,5,6: These are the current ones I am working on. It is now a month since I have been using the medicine. I started these three moles on Thursday it is now Sunday. They are tiny black flat moles. One is above my left eye brow, one is above my right eyebrow, one is on my left cheek. Both very small, the size of commas, but they have been getting darker and bigger so I was getting paranoid. I put the medicine on Wednesday but I didn't really see a scab the next day, so I repeated it on thursday. I can see a TINY scab forming on top of the moles, luckily no surrounding skin was touched so only the mole is affected. I am frustrated because I am not seeing faster results, there is no crusting or hardening or darkening of these moles yet. I am putting on healing balm 3-4 times a day but if by a week I don't see an improvement I will repeat the medicine again. I know I did scratch them enough because they actually bled a bit.

Mole #7: This was right below my lip. Black, flat but getting bigger as the months went on. This was smaller than a pencil eraser. I also did this on the same day as I began mole 4,5,6. 24 hours later:I accidently got my surrounding skin so the light brown circle was around the skin as well. I can feel a thin crust on my mole, but it's very light in color and thickness. This made me worried it didn't work. I decided to wait it out and continued with the healing balm. It's 5 days later (sunday) I was still very skeptical. I was just now putting on the healing balm and literally the mole came off along with the crusty layer of surrounding skin I affected. Again like the others, there is a 2 shades lighter spot in it's place, except it's pink and yellow which makes me think it wasn't completely ready to come off yet :S Regardless I am THRILLED because my chin made me so embarrassed all these years and right now looking in a mirror it looks pretty close to normal now.

Mole #8: This mole was on my stomach right under my right breast. This is a birth mark, The size and shape of an almond, black, it was very bumpy in texture. I started this mole after mole #1's results.

Mole #9: A tiny black mole on my right knee which is a birth mark. Years ago just out of sheer stupidity I took a pair of tweezers and dug around the mole. It left a huge indentation around my mole and my knee looked like a bruise with a baby mole in it.

Mole 8-9 : This took 2 medication treatments since the first day I didn't really see any results. After 2 weeks of the second medication treatment I accidentally knocked off the moles, and it was yellow and full of pus in some parts .It was very indented and a bit of my skin was missing, but I think that's because the mole wasn't really flat to begin with. I was diligent with the healing balm, every day the mole would get puss , crust over in a tiny section of that area, and within a few days the crust would fall off naturally. Then again puss--> crust--> fall off. Every time the piece was smaller and smaller, and the surrounding skin was becoming flat and normal again, with just slight discoloration.

It's been over 3 weeks on these moles... it looks like a bruise with a white middle. I think it's going to take a while to heal because it is a birth mark and wasn't flat. I continue to put the healing balm on it 3-4 times a day.

There you have it: I am almost mole free!!! To be honest, I have lighter spots in their places which might be bad to some, but I would gladly take that any day. However I am hoping and praying that those spots darken up soon enough to my original skin color. I have barely made a dent in the bottle but that's also because my moles were pretty small, other than the one on my stomach. Get one bottle, it's more than enough. I am going to keep these bottles in a safe place because I know w/ my genes these moles will continue to reappear in other places. I am hoping that the rest of the moles end up leaving.

Note: my mom has had very little success with her moles. It has taken 3-4 medication days for it to make SOME difference. The mole's crusty look is gone, now it is softer, lighter and smaller, but it still looks pretty bad on her face. not worse, her face looks better for sure because of the medicine, but really not a big deal. I am saying this because someone else might have results like my mom, as in, not much of a difference. I have to point out that my mom is known to have a ton of moles, and her's are always 3 dimensional and there from birth, I'm sure that makes a difference. her original moles were the size of chocolate chips and half that in thickness. the dermatologist removed them and they looked like squashed chocolate chips, as in big brown splotches. now they are lighter smaller brown splotches but still embarrassing. so dermatend made them slightly better. I am wondering if it is because her moles were previously handled by another product from the dermatologist, because they are all over 40 years old the moles, or because they are 3-d or the med just didnt work.

Note: I switch between the healing balm and antibiotic cream, just any otc cream on my moles. I am just trying to speed up the healing process as fast as possible. Also when the moles are in their process of being removed, they look pretty ugly. Imagine a big brown crust on your face instead of the mole. So if you are going to use this product plan carefully so you aren't going to a party or taking pictures at that time. In my experience the crust forms within 2 days usually. I begin to realize that the crust is really easy to come off and with a slight rub it falls off. If I was to go out say to a party I would just do the process 3-4 days earlier and then rub off the mole (lightly) and deal with the lighter spot in it's place. Or just do the process after the party. My point is, you don't have to wait for the crust to fall off on it's own, go 2-3 days with the crust on, that should be enough time. For harder, thicker moles you would wait a few more days otherwise the mole will be yellow/pus filled.

Also one thing to keep in mind is your skin might be affected because you won't be able to wash it as per your usual cleaning standards. My knee and stomach for example only use body wash and body lotion so I was able to treat them the same as usual. On my face I haven't been able to use my regular facial scrub or acne spot treatment because I didn't want to ruin the moles. I have been using regular soap and lightly moisturizing the areas that the moles are not near. As a result my face has been oilier, been breaking out and I don't look good right now. Small price to pay for a month or two because soon enough the moles on my face will be gone. So far out of 9 moles , 4 have successfully left. My stomach and knee moles are being very stubborn. I pray that they leave without a trace, but if they stay at the stage they are currently in, I will feel really stupid for having started the process on those to begin with. At least before the two moles were just black, because right now they are blueish/blacking whiteish and a bit more obvious.

If you have really dark skin the white spots might look really awkward so keep that in mind as well.

My overall advice: try this on a mole you can afford to do it on, ie elbow or something like that. Use very little medicine, try to ensure not to get the surrounding skin, and healing balm, aloe vera or antibiotic cream on it 3-4 times a day. It might work for you, it might not. I think for $100 this was a risk worth taking to be honest. I bought the $100 deal because I figured since I have so many moles I would need a lot. Buying one bottle is more than enough, and if you have to pay extra for the healing balm, don't bother! just get aloe vera gel or anti biotic cream, something that helps aid in scarring, infections, cuts, bruises, that sort of thing. I was forever teased about my facial moles and I was starting to worry that more and more moles would appear so that's why I got this.

If anyone has any questions you can click on my contact information, or leave a question in the comments and I will do my best to get back to you. I hope it works for you.

Also: I have a tiny birth mark under my eye, black flat, the size of a comma, no big deal. I tried the medicine on this yesterday, very carefully. It didn't make a difference at all. I know I could repeat the procedure but I am debating on it, because in case something goes wrong it is very close to my eye.

I know the reviews seem skeptical. to be honest, even to me. I think the company does pump out a lot of them, but again if you can try it out on a piece of your skin that you can afford the risk on, why not. i wouldn't recommend this product on birth marks or big heavy 3-d moles , my stomach mole and the one near my eye don't seem like it would work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faster & cheaper than a visit to the doctor - with great results!, February 15, 2010

This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
I bought this elsewhere on an impulse, but thought I'd add my review here in hopes that it might be of some use to others.

I have (had!) two moles that are on my face just at my beard line. One I often nicked while shaving and when I did, it would bleed terribly. I wanted it gone, but never did anything about it. Until recently. I do have my skin checked yearly and I know that I need to check my moles for asymmetry, border, color and diameter in between doctor visits.

I know these two moles are safe to remove and I used Dermatend successfully on both of them.

I followed the directions to the letter and then some. Maybe I was a little extreme, but I wanted to have the best outcome I could. I washed the area with warm water, used the emery board on the moles (one was raised and the other was flat) and then covered the area around with vaseline. The reason for the vaseline is to protect the good skin from the Dermatend, so be as accurate as you can be. I was as exact as I could have been, using a cotton swab to apply the vaseline and then the Dermatend. It stung a bit as it was supposed to and I put bandages on each of them. I changed the bandages 3 times a day and applied a bit of Neosporin each time I did. After the scab formed (about 24 hours) I cleaned the area with hydrogen peroxide and then applied the Neosporin every time. It took 5 days for one scab to fall off and 6 for the other. The moles were gone.

Now, I still cleaned with hydrogen peroxide and used Neosporin for several days. The area was pink and I had a minor 'divot' in my skin that healed in quite well. I have to say that at times, I was worried, but all went well in the end. When the scab forms and the skin doesn't look it's best, it is easy to worry, but for me, keeping the area clean with hydrogen peroxide, covered with a bandage and using Neosporin everything turned out great. I understand that the moles could grow back, but so far so good. If they do, I'll repeat the process.

Deramtend contains Bloodroot (Sanguinaria Canadensis), which will kill tissue. That is why it works and why you need to protect the area immediately around the treated area.

For me, this product worked better than I had expected and it deserves its 5 star rating.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work for me, April 6, 2008
This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
The idea behind this product is that you scrape your mole or skin tag with a file and a toothpick, and then apply the product (a dark red substance) once a day until a scab completely covers the mole or skin tag. I followed the instructions but the only scab that formed was the one created after I scraped up my mole. This product didn't work for me.

I returned the product and true to their promise, received a full refund.

1.0 out of 5 stars Scary!, April 18, 2008

Well, I wish I would have taken before and after pictures, so you could see this mess. I used DermaTend on two moles...one on the back of my leg and one on my ankle. The one on my ankle turned into a scab first so I stopped using the product like the instructions told me. The scab fell off, but the mole was still there...just a bit lighter and now (about 3 weeks later) the mole is cirlcled by a red scar. The one on the back of my leg seemed to get infected before it would form a scab so it took a little longer to get to this point, but now there is still an open sore there (4 weeks later)and I'm just putting some neosporin on it daily and trying to keep it clean. All in all, this product scared me. I'd say just go to a dermatologist and have a professional remove the mole. I've had them done before and (if nothing else) they heal a lot quicker and they actually remove the mole (and in a safe matter).

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great on some moles & not others, July 10, 2009
By
This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
I had at least 20 skin tags and 4 moles that I wanted to remove. The moles formed a scab and fell off in 4 to 5 days & after a week there is only a little redness in the area. The tags were something else. I had to repeat the application process at least 5 to 6 times to get rid of five large skin tags. The smaller to medium tags were easily removed, but the larger tags seemed to hang on for dear life. My advice: don't allow the skin tag to grow to a large size. It's harder to remove the tag or I should say, it takes more effort to remove the tag.
For the most part it was painless. The directions are easy to follow, but it can be time consuming if you have a lot of tags and moles. I did experience some discomfort because several tags were located just were my bra band & waist band hit. I was very uncomfortable for the first few days. I even doubled the band aids in those areas, but it didn't help very much. I wish that I hadn't tried to remove those tags all at one time.

Update (7/28/09): I removed two moles on my face without any problems. Both moles formed a scab & fall off within 3 to 4 days. No one would know I had moles in these areas. The area is still a little pink, but that should fade soon. But be very careful when removing moles from your face. The third mole formed a scab that went below the skin surface. I was left with a "hole" about half the size of an eraser on a pencil. I didn't have this problem with the skin tags or the other moles. I can't give advice on how to tell which moles are the surface type or those that extend deep into the skin. Just be aware that you might be left with a scar that is worse than the mole. The area gradually filled in & it's hard to tell that I had a "hole" in this area. The product works, but please be careful when applying it to your face.

This review is from: Dermatend the Original Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Remover Natural At Home Removal System. Removing Moles, Warts & Skin Tags Has Never Been Easier. (Misc.)
I have a few relatively small, colorless moles on my face that have always bugged me. I had thought the dermatologist was the "right" way to handle them, but was somewhat disappointed when I had one shaved off. It bled for a couple of days and took nearly 3 weeks for the wound to fully heal, even though I kept it covered for over a week with a bandaid and antibiotic ointment. It left a scar with a bit of a raised divot (which I have been treating with silicone scar sheets, which seem to be helping).

I decided to try Dermatend on another mole, which was slightly larger but on the side of my face (where a scar wouldn't be quite as prominent). The morning after I applied it, it hadn't fully formed a scab, so I scraped and applied more Dermatend, and by the following morning a large black scab had formed. At first I was concerned because the scab was much larger than the original mole, even though I'd carefully applied vaseline around it, and used a toothpick to apply the Dermatend to only the mole itself. I was also concerned because I didn't know how far down the Dermatend would go, or if it would leave a big crater when the scab fell off.

The scab came off 3 days later after I had partially dislodged it in the shower. It was probably a bit premature, and there was indeed somewhat of a crater, but there was no blood and it didn't seem like a typical scab that had come off too soon- it wasn't all wet and oozy. I think the Dermatend actually cauterizes the skin as it works, which is an advantage over just cutting the mole off. In any case, I immediately applied antibiotic ointment and a band-aid, and kept it covered for the next few days.

The crater filled in as it healed, and formed a much smaller, thinner scab over the area. It's now 10 days since I applied the Dermatend and there is still a very small scab and a red area around the wound, but that is normal for me. I have olive skin and generally get a red/brown scar after any injury, which gradually fades over time. I can easily hide this with makeup.

Overall I am very pleased with the Dermatend and plan to use it on another mole on my forehead, when I have a few days away from work. The black scab that forms is pretty hideous and cannot be disguised with makeup, and a band aid only draws more attention to the area (plus they tend to irritate my face).

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT, October 1, 2009

I have several moles around my body and decided to test this product on 3 moles a few months ago, before I use it on the rest. I'm so happy I stopped at 3.
One of my moles turned into something way more scary than what it used to look like before. Now it looks purple-ish and is much bigger in size. The rest of the moles are still there even though smaller in size but now they are surrounded by a pale cirle with a size of a quarter.
I waited long enough to make sure it will not clear by itself. Now I have to find a doctor to fix my new marks and damaged skin.
I do not recommend this product to anybody.
