One chapter is devoted to symptoms in black skin, comparing its histological appearance with that of white skin. The pathological chapters cover a large number of dermatological conditions, including eczema, impetigo, lichen planus, psoriasis and also skin abnormalities in viral infections (e.g. measles) and systemic disorders (e.g. collagen diseases, sarcoidosis). A large section is devoted to leprosy and its lesions, benign and malignant skin tumours, and Kaposi's sarcoma.
