About the Author

Hongbo Zhai, M.D., is an Assistant Research Dermatologist at the Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine, University of California at San Francisco. His research focuses on prevention of contact dermatitis and development of skin diseases related products.

Howard I. Maibach, M.D., is an internationally recognized professor of dermatology in the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He has more than 40 years research experience in the skin diseases and development of skin-related products. He has published more than 1700 papers and over 70 textbooks. He is a consultant to the US Government (Department of Defense, Food and Drug Administration, etc. He is also a consultant for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and biotech companies worldwide. --This text refers to an alternate Hardcover edition.
