Vico C is an amazing rapper. I disagree with the people who say that he is a reggeaton singer because rap has always been his ambition. He is Puerto Rican and grew up in Brooklyn,NY. His inspiration was D.M.C. The reason he talks a lot about God and the reason that his lyrics and music are different from many other rappers is because he suffered a severe car accident that left him almost dead. After surviving, he has tried his best to keep his music in focus with God. I think that this is one of the main reasons of why he has been a big hit not only in Puerto Rico but also worldwide. His music is clean and brings a positive message to young and old and it doesn't talk about sex, which is the main subject of reggeaton. In fact, the song "Se Escaman" says "Esto es pa'que vean que no todo lo que vende es sexo", which translates to "This is to let y'all know that not only sex is sold". This new CD, Desahogo, talks a lot about society issues and how we as humans, who will never be perfect, can keep ourselves clean from things that aren't worth getting in to (drugs,violence[gangs],alcohol,ect.)If your really like good lyrics and clean messages with hip-hop, reggeaton, and caribbean beats, then you WILL like this CD.

este cd esta a fuego, por la mazeta Vico C como siempre al frente no importa el cd que el saque siempre al frente. Este cd tiene un poco de todo ese es el sello de vico tiene un poco de reggaeton, rap etc. No te vas a decepcionar las liricas de sus canciones estan demasiao siempre con un mensaje aunque tiene una que otra cancion que se la dedica a su esposa y a su mama todas las canciones son buenas. En especial las que hizo con Girberto Santa Rosa, cultura profetica, D'mingo, la mala Rodriguez,eddie dee y la diva (Ivy queen). Todos los que han sido fanaticos de Vico C desde sus inicios saben el tipo de musica de el y su sello sin tener explicar mucho. Otro grammy

Vico C, the first Latin Hip Hopper, the first to drop lyrics that has impressed the Latino community over and over again. Now, he's back, and still refuses to stop after years and years of being in the scene. Desahogo is an incredible album with very well thought out lyrics in the hip hop and even reggaeton for the new kids. Don't worry his lyrics still bring a message and without that, it wouldn't be Vico C. I personally love the collaboration with Mala Rodriguez and Ivy Queen. An album to buy if you proclaim yourself a true connosieur to Latin Hip Hop or Reggaeton.

you both previous reviewers, it seems like you don't speak even spanish! Vico C is not a common singer. He does cristian music rather than anything else. Check the lyrics and stress some messages and truths that he is able to exploit on his songs. I personally don't like some songs, yet some of them really contain really really great messages, written by a blessed mature christian. The songs are varied in genre and the combination of artists on his songs is just great. I think if you are looking for raggeatton, then just leave, if you are looking for hiphop then leave, if you are like the lyrics then stay and enjoy the message.

And Vico, if you read this, please try go put more content from your insipiration, Him, you are doing fine. Keep the good work and telling parents about their children, telling the youth about Christ, and telling the world about the true only God.

Vico C is one of the godfathers of Reggaeton music, and this album just keeps hes legend on the rise, the album is amazing, no other reggaeton artists can match Vico's depth, and style he brings meaning to his music and is something that everyone should experience. this album is not a 100 reggaeton album, there's a lot of hip hop, reggae, and caribean rhityms to go around on this album, he does have a couple of club bangers, specially track 3, and 12. only 11 tracks with 2 interludes it's not a long album like daddy yankee's but it does have everything you need for a quality album, if you don't know what album to buy, this album is a win win choice.

I CANNOT STAND IGNORANT PEOPLE LIKE THE ONE WHO WROTE THE REVIEW FOR THIS ALBUM, VICO C IS NO A REGGAETON ARTIST, HE IS A RAPPER, HIS MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN STRICTLY HIP HOP UNTIL RECENTLY HE HAS BEEN ADDING SOME REGGEATON REMIXES OF SOME OF HIS SONGS TO HIS ALBUMS, BUT HE IS NOT A REGGAETON ARTIST. IM A BIG FAN OF VICO C, BUT IF YOU WANT REGGAETON TRY OTHER CDS LIKE THE LATEST FROM ELIEL, LOS ANORMALES, LOS CAZADORES, ETC.

I have had a problem 4 quite a while now...WHY DO PEOPLE RESPECT DADDY YANKEE MORE THEN VICO-C sorry daddy yankee..but yu have absolutely no talent please dont take credit 4 gasolina cuz the lyrics in it suck and the only thing good about it is the beat..and the only reason gurls like him is cuz hes "sexy"...but we all know yu didnt make the beat and you all know that he wears alot ov makeup. vico-c is a legend in latin hip hop and reggaeton and all yu daddy yankee fans out there diss me all you want you all know im saying the truth.
