Book Description

Descent April 6, 1999
The Universe, as the Post Terran Mining Corporation knows it, is about to end. Reports show massive build-ups of mining drones infected iwth the alien transmode virus near all PTMC holdings outside the Sol system; estimates put total contamination at forty-eight hours.

When intelligence reveals that an alien command post or ship is directing the mech invasion, Benjamin St. John is paired with a sexy, tough-as-titanium Collective Earth Defense pilot and ordered by PTMC Director Samuel Dravis to find and destroy the alien stronghold.

But first Ben and his partner must battle thorugh an unprecendented attack by CED and PTMC mercenary forces and uncover the mystery behind it--all while contending with the blackmailing, double-crossing Director Dravis, who schemes to crush the mech invasion and his bitter enemy, the CED, in one fell swoop. But his plan has a flaw, for his instrument is again Ben St. John--ex-Marine Corps pilot and control freak hell bent on saving the universe, collecting his money, then kicking Dravis's butt from Sol to Tycho Brahe.

By A Customer
This review is from: Descent: Stealing Thunder (Mass Market Paperback)
Author Peter Telep made me more of a Descent Fan. By reading the Descent: Stealing Thunder I got more involved with the characters and the story line. Peter gives clear understanding in the world of Descent.

4.0 out of 5 stars But Wait! There's More!, June 7, 1999

This review is from: Descent: Stealing Thunder (Mass Market Paperback)
Peter began this epic with Descent. Well, here's the second of the trilogy to come! New characters and shifting character motives keep you guessing at what Dravis is really up to, what he wants, and why the aliens want to take over the Sol System.

Telep's writing is even better than in the previous book, though the editing still didn't come through. I would LOVE to see this in a movie format.

Telep has inspired me in my own writing ventures to not only write what I know, but to do it well. To the Descent community, Mr. Telep, you are a hero.

5.0 out of 5 stars Telep does it again!, May 29, 2002
By
This review is from: Descent: Stealing Thunder (Mass Market Paperback)
The first book was excellent; this one was OUTSTANDING! Telep continues on the storyline he started in the first story and improves upon it by adding more characters, more action, and more bad guys. If you're into Descent, get into this book! You won't be dissapointed.
