This is an excellent, light weight jacket that keeps you surprisingly warm. So far I have only ridden in temperatures as low as about 50 degrees (f) with it so I can't comment on extremely low temperatures, but I'm not sure that it is meant for that. My guess is though that it would be good for me down to about 35 degrees - but I run a little warmer than most.

It is bright - like visible from the space shuttle bright - which is nice as I don't want to have someone driving a car not see me on the shoulder riding my bike.

The back pocket is excellent. It is not extremely large (probably about 6" x 6") but it is big enough to carry a snack or two and my phone and keys.
