I am an avid mountain biker. I have worn these shorts on several 24 mile rides & I love them. I tend to have a bad reaction to silicone after extended exposure, so I love that they are gripper free. They can take a beating as well... I have had my share of pretty dramatic spills in them & they have never torn. They feel a bit pricey, but are more than worth the money.
