Arlene Ang's collection is a tremendous achievement in poetics. Her style sounds esoteric without being so. It is accessible, odd, enlightening, honest and extremely well-crafted. The effort Ang made in compiling this book is commendable, as it has given us a treasure to come back to over and over again. The title poem in itself is a gem, the variant other themes resonant with us and we find ourselves pondering phrases, stanzas, ideas later in the day and the next day as well. This book has pull to it. The reader will not be disappointed. Excellent work, Ms. Ang.
