Part One of Two. 2007 single pulled from the L.A. rockers' Stadium Arcadium album. he opening track on the Mars disc of the album, 'Desecration Smile' contrasts melancholic verses reminiscent of the Californication single 'Road Trippin'' with a powerful, driving chorus. As with the rest of Stadium Arcadium, 'Desecration Smile' was produced by Rick Rubin in the same house in the Hollywood Hills that the band recorded the 1991 landmark album BloodSugarSexMagik. The version of "Desecration Smile" is exactly the same as the one from the original record. Only one B-side: "Joe", which is a cool reggae song.
