Editorial Reviews

Part Two of Two. 2007 single pulled from the L.A. rockers' Stadium Arcadium album. he opening track on the Mars disc of the album, 'Desecration Smile' contrasts melancholic verses reminiscent of the Californication single 'Road Trippin'' with a powerful, driving chorus. As with the rest of Stadium Arcadium, 'Desecration Smile' was produced by Rick Rubin in the same house in the Hollywood Hills that the band recorded the 1991 landmark album BloodSugarSexMagik. Features 'Desecration Smile', 'Funk Monks' (Live) and the non-album 'Saves The Day'. Warner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth The Price, March 15, 2007
This review is from: Desecration Smile (Audio CD)
This is a cd single. Normally, I do not even bother with buying these because ultimately the b-sides end up getting put on some website to download. This is the first time that I have ever seen Funky Monks released live, so for that alone it is worth the price. The second b-side, Save This Lady is also really good. It has John playing Hendrix like cords and has a great harmony and chorus.
