So many angels in this story...and so many devils
I loved this story. Life is tough in the West and there are evils, including those on two feet. The protagonists have more than their fair share of heartache. But, there is also much beauty and happiness in this story. The heroine is someone that you can cheer for and admire. It is understandable that she gains the respect and love of all who come to know her...

Story a bit too contrived
This story was a little too visibly designed and contrived. And I got tired of here nursing breast being exposed for every lusting man and his dog to see. That got old! It is one of those reads best picked up at the library.

So many angels in this story...and so many devils, July 24, 2005
This review is from: Desert Angel (A Zebra Heartfire Historical Romance) (Paperback)
I loved this story. Life is tough in the West and there are evils, including those on two feet. The protagonists have more than their fair share of heartache. But, there is also much beauty and happiness in this story. The heroine is someone that you can cheer for and admire. It is understandable that she gains the respect and love of all who come to know her. Especially Jim Travis, her employer and most ardent admirer, who is everything a man should be. Honest, honorable, very strong, intelligent, virile, protective, gentle when needed, hardworking, not to mention handsome. They are perfect for each other, giving and loving, and they heal each other's wounds, the hardest of which, were planted on them by those who were supposed to love them. All the characters in the story are believable and engaging. I found that the character named Breed I rather fell in love with myself, since he is everything our hero is as well. The story does not ever get boring and moves rather quickly. I know that I will read it over and over again. I recommend it highly to anyone who likes romance.
