A pretty big letdown,

This review is from: Desert Diaries: Photojournalists on the War in Iraq (Hardcover)
I have to admit. I was really excited to buy this book, I thought it had tremendous potential, but I was really let down. All of the photographers from Corbis are very good, and there little single page journal entries are nice, but the author/editor/designer could've gone so much further. The design of the book is completely uninspiring and looks very amateur. Most of the photos are reporudced at a very small size on the page. The photo captions are not as detailed as they could be, and the photojournalists diary entires left you wanting to know A LOT MORE. Each photojournalist has only a single page entry. Too bad. They had an opportunity to create something special, but instead created something completely average. |
