Great listening music, October 1, 2004
This review is from: Desert Dreams (Audio CD)
I first heard this album while shopping in one of the quaint little tourist shops in Jerome, Arizona. The song I heard was "Juarez Shuffle." I ended up buying the last album in stock and brought it home and listened to the entire album and was very pleased with all the cuts. This is relaxing music with great guitars and harmonic synthesizers and each song is quite distinct. I liked it so well that I purchased Arnold Mitchem's other album also. I hope you enjoy this music as much as I do.

Beautiful acoustic guitar, January 16, 2011
This review is from: Desert Dreams (Audio CD)
I was first introduced to Arnold Mitchem when I bought his other album "Mojave Moon" on an impulse. It's so good, I wanted more and picked this one up as well. It is much mellower than Mojave Moon, many pieces being simply a solo on the acoustic guitar. There is also much more of a Native American influence on this album. Mr. Mitchem's guitar playing is absolutely beautiful, a genuine pleasure to listen to. The pieces are soothing and make me feel like I'm relaxing in warm dry weather in the desert southwest. If you enjoy instrumental music with some depth, get this album!
