The more I read this story of two pilots who served in the North African campaign the more I was attracted to the story within. The author does a good job illuminating their story by compiling flight reports, and diary journal entries. Most of the book is exactly excerpts from their diaries and squadron flight reports. It was interesting following them across the war and Africa, capture and escape from Nazi captivation. It amazes how two unknown figures sacrificed their youth and lives to make our modern world better for us. A good simple read.
