4.0 out of 5 stars Great oily hair shampoo - too expensive
I have oily hair and love this shampoo. It works great - cleans well and controls the oil throughout the day. The price on Amazon 9now about $26 for a 3 pack) is outrageous - I just bought a bottle for <$4. Definitely will continue to buy - but not from here.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not working... maybe the formula was changed
I got this shampoo about 2 months ago, and didn't see any improvement in my oily hair. My hair will get oily/dirty in 20 hours..almost the same as what Pantene does.

In previous reviews, many users said it's hard to get the shampoo out of the tube, but in my case it's totally different. the shampoo is less dense than most of the product I've ever used. Either...

5.0 out of 5 stars Only stuff that works!, February 13, 2012
My teenage daughter has the oiliest hair I have ever see - normally she can not go even 24 hours between shampoos without looking like an oily mess. Out of desperation I purchased about 10 different oily hair shampoos (which are not that easy to find!) and we tried them all. This worked the best, and is the only one that keeps her hair looking beautiful between shampoos. She asks for me to buy it again as soon as we run out. Very very happy with it.

I've been using Desert Essence' Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo for about 3 years now. I love it. I have oily, tangly hair and with just the shampoo (no conditioner) my hair is cleansed and detangled. I have not had to use conditioner since I started using this shampoo. I have oily hair but using this, I can go for 48 hours without washing. Between that and not having to use conditioner, this is not as expensive as it would at first seem.

My only problem is that I can no longer get it locally and have to order it on Amazon. But ordering multipacks brings the price down to what I was paying locally (around $7-$9 per bottle).

Either the manufacture changed their formula or I got some fake ones . But since it's shipped from Amazon, I think it's more likely to be the formula change.

Really regret I ordered 3 tubes at one time.

This review is from: Desert Essence Organics Shampoo For Oily Hair Lemon Tea - 8 Oz, 2 pack (Health and Beauty)
I ordered this from Red-Tag Sale (seller). 2 Tubes of this shampoo cost $13.88 and the shipping was $8.52. What a rip-off! The shipping cost was 61% of the cost of the product!?! This is NOT right. Plus, this product does NOT work. I have had oily hair for 30 years. Recently I have been looking for good oily-hair products, but this is not it. My hair looks greasy after 24 hours, which is the same as if I use a normal hair shampoo that I buy at the grocery store for A LOT less money. Phyto has a shampoo that works better on oily hair. This shampoo is organic, if you are looking for organic shampoo.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but difficult to get out of the tube., August 31, 2007

Great for oily hair--leaves a fresh smell and hair is shiny. I will continue to use this product in spite of the fact that it is difficult to squeeze out of the tube.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent shampoo, and perfect for itchy scalp problems, September 17, 2008
I have been using this shampoo for about six months now and I love it. It smells wonderful, works great, lathers well, and best of all it has cured my itchy scalp / dandruff issues.

I had been using Nutrogena anti-dandruff shampoo for years and although it seemed to lessen the symptoms somewhat, the problems never went away and it just smelled terrible and made my hair feel squeaky and unmanageable. I read about this organics shampoo on a message board about eczema and scalp problems, and some folks suggested that it worked well for them, so I decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier!! It may sound strange since the product is intended for folks with oily hair, but it really solved my problem with itching and flakes. I also have very sensitive skin, and this product has been very gentle and never caused me any problems. I strongly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Shampoo, just don't buy from direct super ceter, June 9, 2011

Shampoo is fantastic! Works wonderful on oily hair. Just don't buy from this company. The item says in stock, but it's not. Direct Super Center is a rip off!!!! I'm shocked that Amazon.com allows a company like this on their site.
