Desert sage is a different plant than white sage, which other people seem to be comparing this to. Desert sage is stemmy with small leaves, and it is more woody and earthy smelling than white sage. This desert sage is about 3 inch bundles that are very tightly packed, they seem like a lot of stems but that's basically what desert sage is. I like to burn these as incense over a piece of charcoal, and they are exactly the right size and consistency for doing that. They are very aromatic and have a true Native desert sage smell. A lot of people use them for ritual instead of as incense, and I think they would also be very good for that purpose, a lot of potency in them. If you're looking for White Sage, this isn't it and you should look at other products. If you're looking for wonderful smelling aromatic desert sage, this is an excellent choice and actually a pretty amazing value, too.

after just running out of my fresh , i thought i would try this....i usually use this inside and out when sitting around the fire...i can say that this will only be used outside, and i wont buy it again...not worth the money, nor is the smell that desirable

The entire package of 8 BABY smudge sticks is smaller than most regular sized smudge sticks. You cannot tell that from the image before you buy it. They are tiny. When it said BABY in the description, I expected each one to be half the size of a regular smudge stick. Don't buy them thinking you'll be getting a BULK LOT of 8. You'll get 8, but there is nothing bulky about this lot.

I usually order my white sage from you and receive excellent products. But this time the size of the smudge sticks were very small only about 2 inches in length and they did not burn well at all .. still used them being that i do regular cleansing on my home and family members .. but i will have to try someone else for all my needs on sage from now on.. very poor product this time.

ABSOLUTELY THIS STUFF SMELLS AMAZING AND BURNS GREAT. BUT AS I GREW UP IN THE SAGE LANDS OF CALIFORNIA WE PICKED OUR OWN AND IT JUST IS SO DIFFERENT THAN THIS. IF YOU HAD NEVER BURNED FRESH DRIED WHITE SAGE THIS WOULD DO THE TRICK, BUT THE FRESH STUFF HAS MORE AROMA AND ONE LEAF BURNS NICELY SMELLING UP THE WHOLE HOUSE ALMOST. THIS STUFF HAS MORE OF A SMOKE SMELL, NOT VERY WOODSY.
