I've been listening to evny since '97 (Hot wax/ Summer Splash) and I still listen to that in my TAPE deck in my car to this day! I just heard Blok Party tonite, same ol' envy goodness. That's a ill dj.

DJ Envy rides on the recent popularity of his Desert Storm buddy, DJ Clue, and drops himself a decent mixtape. With 17 songs, you get some good, some bad, and a few ok but there are more better then bad tracks on here, but the ever annoying yelling overdubs all on all songs. 9 of the songs I'd say are good, 4-6 are ok and 2-4 I skip. A wide range of rappers and producers get in on the mix so the sound changes for the most part from track to track. Mostly rappers from NY and NJ with a few southern cats on here and 1 or 2 R&B joints. Envy & mono, Clue & Duro, and Erick Sermon all produce 2 songs,. Self, Omen, Liveson, Black Jeruz, Rockwilder, White Boy, Zukhan, Quan, Dame Grease, and a few noth worth naming all produce 1 song. A nice album for mixtape fans to have.

I havent listened to this CD so i cant really say anything... the track listing looks tight though except for the st lunatic songs and that joe buddens "focus" is a really old song already, so i give it 3 stars
