4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I love this product. I rated it 4 stars because the part that attaches to the beater is plastic and mine did crack.

In all fairness, I used this product A LOT. I have a home baking business and my beater blade got a lot of use. Much more than a normal person that does not bake for a living. I got my money's worth and then some. So I have to buy another one, so...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Unhappy
I'm very unhappy with this blade, more of my cookie dough stuck to the sides of bowl while using this blade. It did not work at all, tried it again with a cake mix it still did not scrape sides of bowl well. Also did not like that it was made from plastic rather then metal like kitchen aid attaches are. Will be returning this item.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, July 2, 2010

I love this product. I rated it 4 stars because the part that attaches to the beater is plastic and mine did crack.

In all fairness, I used this product A LOT. I have a home baking business and my beater blade got a lot of use. Much more than a normal person that does not bake for a living. I got my money's worth and then some. So I have to buy another one, so what!

It works great at scraping the bowl. I NEVER have to turn off the mixer to scrape. Now, you cannot use this for extremely heavy doughs. It works great with cake mixes, frosting's, fillings, cookie etc.

I did also purchase the SIDE SWIPE blade because the part that attaches to the beater is metal. But the fins are EXTREMELY hard to clean off. I mean to get all of your batter off between the blades was difficult. Also the fins are breaking off.

In Conclusion, I WILL be buying another Beater Blade, because of the ease of cleaning off my batter. It is much more user friendly than the Side Swipe

4.0 out of 5 stars perfect, February 21, 2010

I purchased this to use with my anniversary edition mixer...the one with the glass bowl.

It fits & works quite well...scraping the bowl almost too well because with a heavy dough it will get stuck from time to time!

I only wish that the attachment part was metal and not plastic considering the price paid!

This blade lives up to it's claims!! It cleans the sides of the bowl as it mixes. Therefore, you do not need to stop and use a spatula to get your mixture back to the bottom of the mixer bowl. It is very easy to clean and can be put on the top shelf of the dishwasher. I was pleasantly surprised how good this item is.

4.0 out of 5 stars Saves time, works great, fitting is terrible..., November 6, 2011

The whole piece is plastic, not like the original KitchenAid, and as a previous reviewer said, it will break easily.

One big problem of making it fit, is you need to play with the head height screw, and by doing this all the rest of your accessories (bread hook, mixer, etc) won't fit, so will end readjusting the head every time you swap them.

The idea is great and saves time, but the fitting may be an issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars love it! make sure you adjust the beater height before use, June 6, 2011

I used this throughout my holiday baking season and beyond. I love it! As others have mentioned, make sure you get the right one (tilt head vs lift; 5 qt v 6 qt; etc, etc....)

ALSO>>>>>__Read the directions__, you will need to ___adjust the height___ for the beater. Read your instruction manual but on tilt head mixers, there is a little screw that you may have never noticed inside the neck of the mixer, you need to turn this as directed to adjust the height to make the new beater reach the bowl correctly, too low and you can damage your mixer and/or blade, too high and you won't be mixing anything! :)

Hope this helps! I love it and am not likely to use my old blade again :D

4.0 out of 5 stars Mom says this is the best beater she's used on her Kitchen-Aid, January 16, 2011

This was purchased as part of Mom's Christmas gift. She told me that she's used it mixing cake batter and dough for Orange Balls. The instructions clued her in to a previously un-noticed adjustment feature on the mixed. Once the beater depth setting was adjusted it worked better than she expected and is now the go-to beater.

The best mixing paddle, the New Metro Design Beater Blade for the KithenAid Tilt Head models. It scrapes the sides of the bowl as it mixes!! It really works sensationally well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scrapes the bowl clean!, February 8, 2012

I got this at the recommendation of another KitchenAid bowl owner, who actually threw her Kitchenaid beater blade in the TRASH after buying this! It works great to scrape the sides of the bowl as I mix. Oh, but don't start the mixer blades going until you have enough stuff in the bowl for it to scrape to give it some slip.

I have been baking and cooking for years and I am on my 2nd Kitchenaid Mixer. I do really like this scraper. I am now going to order one for my daughter, who is even more handy in the kitchen than I am
