Product Description

New Metro Design’s beater blade is an electric mixer attachment which thoroughly mixes batter, eliminating the need to stop and scrape the bowl manually. Model ka-th pro fits all kitchenaid tilt head mixers regardless of the kitchenaid model numbers. This pro model is designed with a stronger and more resilient material that can withstand heavy use and higher dishwasher temperatures. It's the perfect choice for commercial kitchens, bakeries, cooking schools or the home cook, if the beater blade will be used three times a week or more. Yellow colored body – for easy identification in large commercial drawers, bins, and dishwasher racks. Beater blades are engineered for use with top brand electric stand mixers, including most models offered by kitchenaid, cuisinart, delonghi and viking. A beater blade attachment beats, scrapes, folds and incorporates ingredients thoroughly for fool-proof baking. The new beater blade+ ingeniously improves on the functionality of standard v-shaped beaters offered with high-end stand mixers by crafting a high-quality, enhanced blade that includes a flexible rubber wing down the entire length of both sides of the blade. The durable, food-grade edging simulates the action of a powerful spatula to gently, yet thoroughly scrape the bowl clean. The wing-system design acts like a wiper blade that continuously scrapes sides and bottom of bowl while it mixes virtually eliminating hand-scraping and batter build-up on the blade. Beater blade’s state-of-the-art design continuously and automatically scrapes batters during mixing, which can speed up the process by as much as 50-percent. By eliminating the need to turn off and on the mixer to scrape the bowl, beater blade reduces wear of the motor of the mixer, as well. New Metro Design’s beater blade excels in a full range of mixing applications, including creaming butter, sugar and eggs to fluffy perfection, and preparing frostings and pastry creams quickly and easily.

I bought this product after being somewhat disappointed with the flat beater which came with the Kitchenaid. With the normal flat beater, I was having to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl several times during the mixing process for cakes and biscuits and almost felt let down after having desired my Kitchenaid for years before I could actually afford it!
Well, within seconds of using my new beater blade I felt relief and excitement that the Kitchenaid was finally working as it should. This product scrapes the sides and bottom automatically producing lovely fluffy results. Highly recommended for anyone who bakes a lot.

From reading various reviews it seems that there is a pattern with many of the low rated reviews. Many are saying that this paddle is shorter than the one which came with their 5-quart Kitchenaid mixer. I'm going to type this in Capitals so that people who are skimming will notice it: IF YOU PURCHASE THIS BEATER AND FIND THAT IT IS AN INCH SHORTER THAN YOUR ORIGINAL BEATER, YOU PURCHASED THE WRONG MODEL. THIS MODEL IS FOR USE IN 5-QUART KITCHENAID STAND MIXERS WITH TILT-HEADS ONLY. 5-QUART BOWL-LIFT MODELS REQUIRE A DIFFERENT VERSION.

Once again, there are two 5-quart beaters available. One is for tilt-head models and the other is for lift-bowl models. Be certain you are buying the correct version.

Finally I don't have to scrape my bowl anymore! I just needed to adjust the height of the tilthead and that was it :)
Glad I found it! Just wish it would be metal rather than plastic.

I have used Kitchenaid mixers in my home based cookie business for the past 20 years. I bought this scraper blade this week and now am in the state of shock. Why has this beater blade not been included as STANDARD equipment with the mixer? It does the job that a beater blade should do - quickly incorporates ingredients and eliminates time-wasting by constantly having to stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl. This incredible beater blade has saved me many hours of work in just the past few days that I have been using it. I ordered it on amazon.com and it arrived three days later. Every person who owns a Kitchenaid mixer should petition the company to make this blade standard equipment. It has made the world of difference in the efficient operation of the mixer and my business. Whomever designed this product deserved a gold medal. I hope it lasts for a long long time.

I mixed up a cake mix and it worked great Then we mixed up a stiff cookie dough and it snapped in half. I contacted the company and they immediately responded with an offer to replace it and suggested an adjustment for the mixer.

OK, I've only used it once, but if it holds up as well as everyone says, it will be a favorite in my kitchen.

I tried it out on some peanut butter cookies . . . tossed in the shortening, peanut butter, sugar, etc, and creamed it all together. I love the "thwack thwack thwack as it contacts the sides of the bowl. Added the dry ingredients and everything came beautifully. The dough clumped a bit on the blade, but it didn't climb the bowl and there was NOTHING clinging to the sides or bottom. It was scraped cleaner than if I'd used a spatula by hand. And a quick hand wash cleaned the beater blade easy as could be.

I'm looking forward to using this a LOT!

Does well on regular size bowls. Does decent job on the smaller bowl (only scrapes one side??). I bought two and got one for my mom for Christmas, she loves it too. Now we don't have to stop mixing, tilt head and scrape with a spatula, just let it run, yea!

We ordered the BeaterBlade Pro but received the standard version. Not to worry though, the folks at BeaterBlade promptly shipped us the correct blade. We used it for the first time tonight and I have to say, I'm impressed. The batter mixed up promptly with no areas of left unmixed. The mixer needed a little bit of adjustment to make the head low enough to properly scrape the bowl, but that was no trouble. You should heed the instructions and make SMALL adjustments because a little bit goes a long way. Another note; we used the shield that was included with our mixer and had no problem with a flour explosion as mentioned in reviews of the standard BeaterBlade.
