5.0 out of 5 stars Author's review
This 2nd edition revises and replaces the first edition,
and shows my 4 stage house construction project using ICF
styrofoam building blocks. See the lessons learned and
many photos and diagrams and follow the progress of my
project. The house grows from 1,800 sq. ft. to 8,000 sq. ft.
But I describe how to convert a cottage into a castle...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much meat
This book fell far short of my expectations. Not much meat for $40. Seemed more like a pamphlet than a book. I was expecting more design information that would make it possible for me to build my own expandable house.

Follow my journey with my wife to France to search for
the original chateau, and see some of the finished details.

5.0 out of 5 stars computer guy builds styrofoam chateau, May 21, 2003

I'm the author and explain some of the lessons learned
in designing and building a house using styrofoam ICF blocks.
The approach is to design a large house and then build a small
house (subset) allowing for future expansion. There are lot's
of photos and quite a few diagrams and lessons learned.
I hope you'll enjoy reading and using this book.
