4.0 out of 5 stars Calculating Polymer Molding for Manufacturing, February 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Design Formulas for Plastics Engineers 2E (Perfect Paperback)
As promised, the book Design Formulas for Plastics Engineers is filled with formulas that are attributed to plastics polymer manufacturing. Lacking are examples for all of the formulas or clear examples of what each variable applies to in a formula. With a strong math background, this book should prove an interesting read with a few issues related to what terms relate to what components or materials in the real world. If you lack a decent math background you will struggle through the material, this is not a tutorial in mathematics. Nor is it a primer in plastics polymer manufacturing.

If you want to dig deeper and understand even more about the depths of plastic polymer manufacturing this may be the book for you, but it is not a book for the novice. The book is well written and offers plenty of insight for the plastic polymer engineer. I use this book as one of several technical references in writting articles for a free on-line magazine that focuses on plastic polymers and the manufacturing processes [...]/magazine, sponsored by Precise Mold and Engineering a custom plastic manufacturing company([...]).
