This book is intended to be a guide for engineers new to the subject. It does provide insight into the various sections of the industry codes that are applicable to design, risk analysis and installation of subsea pipelines. The engineering data is sparse but does give the reader a sense of the expected range of values for design. The main fault with the book is the defective binding. In at least two areas pages are duplicated or missing. These areas are both in the fabrication chapters. If not for the defective binding, this book would rate 4 stars.
