Love this book, March 3, 2011
This review is from: Design Parts Sourcebook: Rock and Street Culture: A Collection of Images for Artists and Designs (Paperback)
I originally stumbled across this book in a bookstore, looking for... well, -exactly- something like this. As far as I've found, there's nothing else quite like it available. It contains a large selection of images to use in your own projects, all of which are very high quality. The included CD comes with Adobe Illustrator files as well as JPEGs, so that you can use them in whatever software suits you best.
The variety of images is wide, from a whole section on skulls, to tattoo-style art and pictures of sexy ladies. If you need a rock-themed image, there's a pretty good chance you'll find what you're looking for in here somewhere... And if not, there's surely something you'll like just as much. This isn't standard-issue crummy clipart you'd find on an office memo- these images are done by talented artists, to be used in your own art, for printing on items, or similar projects.
I love this book. It's going to be a truly invaluable resource for me, and I'm very glad I found it. If Oilshock were to put out another book in a similar vein, I'd probably buy it sight-unseen.
