This app is just what I need for my 6 yr old working on his letters. It works fine the touch is responsive but using a stylus might be easier.
I like the options to split the screen- the blank writing area and removing the track (dotted lines to follow).
My son will be able to practice more now that I have this on the go on my fire.
Simple Clean app for the young ones any age to teach or help practice. I would recommend it.

I downloaded this thinking it might be good for my 6 year old. He is in first grade and loves to write, but he could use help with some of his letters. What I like about this is it has upper and lower case letters with a tracing guide. It has the ability to erase and try again or erase just part of the letter written. The thing I like most is the example feature. It will write the letter out before your child's eyes so they can see the proper way to write the letter. As they go through the alphabet it will save the letters as your child wrote them so you can go back and see if your child needs more practice on a specific letter. I did giggle at the reviewer who said this was good for a 2 year old. The only thing my 2 year old would do with this is scribble all over it. For the intended purpose of practicing letters I would recommend for ages 4+.

I just tried this for a min. Great app for teaching kids their letter. There is an option for both upper and lower case along with a few other features.

Simple app that lets your child learn how to write letters. I often find my 3.5-year-old grabbing the tablet and practicing her writing. Now if I could only get her to always use the stylus so she gets used to using a pencil instead of her finger...

This app fully performs the function stated, and it does it well. It's a practice slate for writing your letters, with an optional drawing guide that shows you how to trace it.

The one thing I miss from the actual paper ones is the numbered steps and arrows. This just has the dotted letter outline, no guide around it.

And some of the letters look weird, but that's probably either a font choice, or copied from a different brand of schooling material than I used way back in the day. Doesn't harm the app any.

Overall, pretty good.

I like this app... my 4 year old has been using it for 6 months now... please allow the options to split screen the cap as nd lower case together... it would be nice for them to associate that they are the same letter! Also an audio of the letter name and the sound the letter makes is also necessary to associate with the letter. (I saw an audio option.. but it doesn't work.) Make these changes and will be 5 stars!

Having a 1st grader and a kindergartener, I knew I could get use out of this FATOD. This app is a good (and green) alternative to practicing letter writing on paper, and it runs smoothly on my Kindle Fire. This app is especially useful for my kindergartener, who is still struggling with forming lowercase letters. However, I won't get much use out of it for my 1st grader because he is learning D'Nealian style print at school, and this app only offers regular block style print. That is only a minor complaint, though, as I'll still get use out of it with one of my children.
