I was so excited when I found this item. It was just what I was looking for to raise my dog's food and water off the ground and allow me to sweep and mop my kitchen floor without having to put up my dogs water while it dries. I can't tell you how excited I was when it arrived, only to discover that the part that goes into the wall was cracked in four places. I debated requesting a replacement from seller, but the more I looked at it the more upset I got. This item retails for $80. It smells awful when you open the box. I can see where the bowls were painted and it there were clumpy spots in the paints (Sorry, but I have to worry about my dog eating off unfinished painted dishes). And the plastic that it's made out of is extremely, extremely thin, more like packing material than what I would make something out of.

And I'm not one of those people who routinely complains about bad products, I worked in retail for several years I know you get what you pay for but this is not the case here. I honestly was shocked at how poorly this was made. As in I literally stood there staring at it with my mouth hanging open shocked!

That being said if the manufacture improves the product I may try it again, but as is it is being shipped back ASAP!

We installed our wall-mounted pet bowls for our 3 dogs this weekend! they are AMAZING! there's no more dog hair under the bowls. the bowls fit with our decor...and they're just plain neat. we are so impressed with this great idea! we cant wait to tell our doggy friends about this!

This product looked great and my wife and I were really excited to get it. However, when it arrived all four corners were cracked and it was not the fault of the packaging. We thought that the bowl would be a single solid piece of plastic. It turns out only the front is made of slightly thick plastic (think blue kids pool) while the indentations that hold the bowl were made of plastic so thin it bent in with barely the touch of a finger. It was this plastic that was already cracked in four corners. This is also the plastic that is supposed to support full bowls of food and water and handle the strain of folding the bowls up and down between uses.

I am not in the business of cutting huge holes in my drywall to install a product I think will break at any time (even though in this case it broke before it was even used). We returned the item immediately. We are very dissapointed because the idea of the product and what it is supposed to do are really cool. However, this thing isn't worth $5 let alone $80 the way it is currently constructed. Choose something else.

I just had to say something in regards to the Designer Pet Eatery...I do not understand what Mark is talking about with the cracked corners I bought mine several weeks ago and it was in perfect condition. I love the concept of an off the floor feeder because it makes clean-up easier and my dog no longer has an upset stomach after eating now that his bowl is raised. It's a win...win!!!

I have had this product in my home for over a year. I just love it! It arrived very well made and it was so easy to install. My dog took it immediatly! It has held up well and it is very easy to clean. I love that the bowls are off the floor, which allows for easy floor cleaning and zero dog bowl mess to clean up. This is a great idea and a great product! I would recommend this to all pet lovers!

Have owned this product for over a year now. Installed just after moving into a new home. Wasn't worried at all about cutting drywall after the very helpfull instructional video and installation instructions! Our dog used to gulp his food to the point that it caused excessive air and in his stomach. Our vet recommended we raise his bowls off the ground. Thats when we found these bowls by Designer Pet Eatery. What a great design and even better quality built bowl. Since we installed the bowls, our dog does not scarf his food or water and there is no mess to clean up around his dishes any more(or a towel to wash everyday). We recently went back on amazon to find the bowls for some friends of our as a gift and noticed that some people had posted bad reviews for the product. Not sure why they did, but I can tell you that anytime I've bought something from amzon that I wasn't satisfied with, I've always contacted the seller first to make things right before leaving bad reviews. Some people don't understand how business works and don't realize that most companies would go out of there way to make there customers happy and to prevent bad feedback. This is one of those companies and its sad to see that one bad reviewer having a bad day can make such an impact on such a good product. I recommend anyone that has this product or is buying this product to please leave a good review. If you can't leave a good review, please contact the company and tell them why before leaving a bad review. I can almost guarantee that they will make it right. Congratulations Designer Pet Eatery on a Great Product and Best of Luck in the years to come...
