Brenda Walton has completely captivated me with her stunningly beautiful, wistful and tender line of products for K&Company. How wonderful to have this handy reference from which to borrow layouts and ideas for a wide variety of projects. I am currently building an all Brenda Walton album and sometimes find myself misting up in the craft aisle as I select elements to add to my pages. This book is a bargain at three times the price. You won't be sorry.

(I believe that the reviewer who gave the book only one star in fact meant to give it four stars, but accidentally clicked only one. Please read her review and the comments. I have reported this to Amazon as problematic and hope that the review will be either amended or removed completely.)

Like many other reviewers stated, I too have purchased some of Brenda's products and I have loved using them in my projects.Therefore I was excited to find this book written by Brenda Walton.

I rated Brenda's book "five stars" for the following reasons:

First, the photographs are absolutely stunning! If you are a visual learner, as I am , then such gorgeous photos can truly add to our imagination and ideas' development.

Second, I like the way Brenda organized each chapter.

For example, the Introduction chapter tells the reader a bit about Brenda and also shows the reader what Brenda's beautiful Art Room looks like (WOW!). It's a feast for the eyes!

Also, chapters 1 and 2 show how to design and lay-out your album's text and colors.

Chapters 3 & 4 show the reader how to embellish basic album pages (note: all photos & samples are bright and colorful, once again).

Chapter 5 discusses Vellum & it's uses (with examples/samples).

Chapter 6 & 7 give ideas on how to use various kinds of papers and textures.

Chapter 8 is more "whimsical" because the examples are not as "common" as what a reader might see in a basic scrapbook magazine. Instead, Chapter 8 shows the reader how to spread their wings, and try different approaches to their Albums.

Finally, the last pages of Brenda's book are filled with "templates" that go with many of the examples/samples shown throughout Chapters 1-8.

This book is a must have for every serious scrapbooker who desires to create elegant, charming pages that make family photos into works of art. Brenda's ideas are top notch and do not include the overly fussy and corny pages many "pro" designers are publishing in their books.
