The first Designer's Guide to Color book provided 500 historic color combinations from the Victorian, Art Deco, Atomic 50s, Psychedelic 60s and Current periods. The second book provided 750 combinations of colors derived from the art and design of Asia, Africa, Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle and Far East, as well as from the USA. The Designer's Guide to Color Combinations CD-ROM contains none of the interesting and amusing text captions, the sample layouts that show how to arrange the colors, or the many wonderful illustrations from the two books. What it does contain are 1250 sets of scintillating color combinations covering every conceivable mood and manner from warm and passionate to super cool. The CD-ROM is a terrific companion piece to the books enabling you to quickly locate the swatch sets from any page, open only the files you wish and copy the colors right into your own designs. If you do not own either of the books, the CD-ROM is still a fantastic way to browse for great color combinations by opening any files at random and selecting your favorites.
