The art of draping is presented here in a series of simple graphic illustrations showing how to take a piece of material and develop it on the figure to make 17 authentic flapper dresses, 10 different types of wraps and 7 types of collars. The dresses in this book were designed and prepared by Gisela Bennati, one of the greatest designers that Europe had given America in the 1920s. Each dress was draped on a living model by Ms. Bennati and then sketched in detail by the artist. Each step-by-step illustration is accompanied by descriptive directions that guide the user in the creation of the dress or wrap of your choice.
