This coloring book is the best pattern-based coloring book I have seen. It is far too complex for children to color well, but for young adults and adults with an eye for pattern and a steady hand it is great. There are many great pattern coloring books but this one is the most intricate and carefully drawn of the tens of them I have owned. Pens, sharp colored pencils, and (very) fine point markers all work well, crayons and heavy ink or paint markers would NOT work well.

The only drawback to this book is that the pages are double-sided, but the pages are thicker than in some, so unless you use a marker with a heavy ink (which I don't recommend anyway), it will mostly be fine.

If so, you may enjoy coloring these designs. It is easy to make errors and many of the designs are so detailed and fine that you'll be best off with a pencil or pen, no crayons! Each design in the 30 pages took me a few days to color so plan to do it to relax and enjoy time with yourself. Likely to be frustrating to young children or the impatient.

Depending on how you choose to color these you may fall off your chair. Just kidding but they can make you look twice. These are very fun and unique different designs.

I have a collection of these dover coloring books and cannot say enough good about them. Great for adults to relax with and be creative. I recommend good colored pencils like Primsacolor regular and Verithins both right here on Amazon. They last forever I have some in my collection from the 1960's, they are short but still work.

I color for relaxation and the designs in this book are some of the best designs I have colored--and I have colored many books. I only use colored pencils which allow the necessary sharp points to get into the small places. The design pieces are the perfect size for me-each section easy to see and color, yet small enough to create a beautiful finished picture.

The designs are double-sided, so these pages are NOT good for removing & framing, or for any wet media, which is what I use. I'm very disappointed for this will require me to make copies of any designs in order not to bleed through to the other design. Usually when double-sided, scanning & copying makes the back of page design show through, so no clean copies. The paper is thin & a bit off-white, so copies may not be clean either. As for the designs, they are finely detailed, can be colored in many combinations to bring different features into focus, suitable for adults and teens.

I bought this coloring book, along with several others, for my grandaughter's birthday. She is old enough to enjoy the challenge of this type of book. In my opinion, it would be too challenging for anyone under the age of, say, ten or eleven.

I absolutely love this coloring book. The designs are complex enough to be challenging without being overwhelming. The entire book is filled with fabulous designs on good quality paper. Would recommend to anyone

After I finished this book I was looking at tapestry designs...like those middle eastern wowen carpets...a unique blend of stupendous creative designs...full page designs though(with few exceptions), that require a long time to finish... this guy(the author) is good indeed with the complex side and detailing in building symetrical structures...too bad I haven't seen more of his work publised...excellent coloring book for adults and also for those inclined towards exercising patience.

Creative color in these will really make them stand out. The variety is good and the designs intricate enough to keep you amused for some hours. This is much better than the geometric coloring book by the same company.

3-d designs, is a fun book to play in. It had lots of different patterns in and I have truly liked coloring in it. I recommend this book.
