I first heard Barbara Alcindor's lilting French voice on the radio ("My Heart Goes Boom - la di da da").

I purchased this CD to see if any other tracks were worth having. This CD is better than mediocre, but not fantastic.

Be warned the radio mix you hear on the radio isn't on this CD. There are two versions of "My Heart Goes Boom," the original, and a mix that is similar to the radio mix (but targeted at DJs - with a long introduction and beat-heavy transitions).

In all fairness, Barbara Alcindor does have a great voice, and at some points she comes across as erotic on top of bass-driven music. Alcindor's remake of Nancy Sinatra's "These boots were made for walking" is interesting.

If you like the radio mix, you are far better off seeking out the single.

I love French affair, the other review says this girl does not have an excellent voice; maybe is it right, but she's so sesy, and I love the way she sing. Since I heard "My heart goes boom" I liked her. Anyway, I think the best of French Affair is not this album. The best are her other hits like "I like That", or Comme ci Comme ca" besides "Sexy". Anyway this is dance, and it is so good to know more about it, because it is really hard to listen this kind of music in the USA.

This is an extremlr good Cd, definetly the french touch in the lyrics gives it a touch of class, and the rythim is great too. You Must Buy This!
