Growing up, I always loved mysteries and action-adventure novels that had a "spark" of something extra in them. They produced a feeling in me of being wrapped in a warm fluffy blanket, sitting in front of a crackling fireplace and drinking a hot cup of tea. I always wanted to prolong that special feeling of warmth and safety, while at the same time, I couldn't stop reading because another feeling was on the way, one of satisfaction at having my sense of adventure fulfilled. With that kind of book, you end up with a smile on your face. That's the best way I can explain what I want to create in my novels. I hope the characters are ones that readers will want to spend time with.

The book was well written with wonderful, descriptive writing. I could picture every house, building, and outdoor scene! The characters came to life in my mind. I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. It was easy to read because the story flowed so well. It was refreshing to read a suspense novel which I could highly recommend to anyone of any age. I can't wait for the sequel!

I found this book while browsing through Winepress Publisher's site several months ago. I unreservedly recommend I Desire Mercy to everyone! The offbeat, yet very realistic characters have endeared me to themselves in a way that few have. I love mysteries, and this one was well-plotted.

There is so much more to this novel! I appreciate the gentle spiritual lessons taught in an honest and imaginative fashion. And I found myself wanting to "know" Marietta, Brianna, Philip, and the other characters that filled my heart. Thank you, Sharon West, for using that wonderful gift you've been given to bless us! Looking forward to the next book..

I found Ms. West book to be one that held my interest and I am looking forward to her next book. It is refreshing to find a really good book with a Christian base.
