Psycho-babble
It is small wonder that those in the basic sciences consider much of psychology as junk science. One gets the impression in reading this book that complex language is being used to mask rather simple ideas in order to convey some degree of intellectual rigor. It is small wonder that those in the basic sciences consider much of psychology as junk science. One gets the impression in reading this book that complex language is being used to mask rather simple ideas in order to convey some degree of intellectual rigor. The nice thing about science is that scientists are encouraged to write clearly and concisely. Winquist does the opposite. He uses psychobabble to pretend that there is something very deep in his deliberations. Here is a challenge to Mr. Winquist - see if you can really demonstrate that there is something intellectual in this work.
