About the Author

About the Author Marcelle Lapow Toor is a graphic designer, computer consultant and trainer, and lecturer in the department of communications at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where she specializes in teaching graphic design to non-designers. She is also the author of Graphic Design on the Desktop: A Guide For the Non-Designer, published by Van Nostrand Reinhold in 1994. She has brought her acclaimed Desktop Publishing with Design Workshops to the national conferences of such organizations as Folio, Women in Communication, the International Business Management Council and the Cornell Camp## --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Mere words cannot express how very disappointed I was in this book. Perhaps if it was any good, I could have drawn you a picture instead.

I'm sure the book was fine when it was originally written in 1996. Since then, technology and resources have changed so much as to make this book completely outdated.
