The most comprehensive book I've written on multimedia!, October 1, 1995
By A Customer
This review is from: The Desktop Multimedia Bible (Paperback)
Hi, I wrote The Desktop Multimedia Bible! A special "howdy"
to my regular readers at NewMedia magazine. I wrote this book
for people who want to understand the fundamentals of
multimedia. It is not specific to platforms of products,
because they're always changing. My goal is to communicate
the background knowledge so that you can interpret the new
stuff as it happens. It breaks the subject matter into
sections on Graphics, Audio, Video, Computers, & Interactive
Technology. Each section has three chapters covering
Technology, Tools, and Techniques. 635 pages in all. If you
are more interested in how to think about multimedia from a
business standpoint, check out Multimedia for Decision
Makers (Addison-Wesley). If you're a Windows user and want a to learn about
the coolest software and test drive them on a CD-ROM, check
out Multimedia Studio for Windows (Random House). Enjoy!
