4.0 out of 5 stars A great conversation starter with some flaws, July 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Desmond Morris' The Human Sexes [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Desmond Morris's videographies on human behavior and sex are quite popular, and with all the breasts no wonder. He's got a good, balanced-seeming approach and has a way of talking about embarrassing topics in a way that you don't cringe, plus you are learning the whole time. The only problem is, at the end, you've learned a lot about women in all sorts of different countries, but you haven't learned a lot about men. So it's a little unbalanced. All the same, it's a terrific video series that I recommend strongly; just be sure if you're really interested in the human sexes you don't stop with just this video.

5.0 out of 5 stars "The Human Sexes": The Answers You've Been Looking For, December 29, 2000

This review is from: Desmond Morris' The Human Sexes [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video series provides a unique and rational map for understanding the complexity of human sexual relationships. Why are women attracted to men in nice cars? Why do people have affairs? What makes some men/women more physically attractive? These and many other quandries of the eternal male/female delemma are answered in logical, SCIENTIFIC terms. For men, it is (finally) a clear explination of the mysterious female psyche. For women, it is an honest exposure of what makes boys (men) be boys. For both, it is an excellent reference point for further discussion and exploration. In a time of conflicting gender roles and stereotypes, this series provides welcome clarity.
