4.0 out of 5 stars A grown up book for adult intermediates
"El desorden de tu nombre" is a good read, thought provoking, good comentary on the state of the contemporary mind, and universal. If you are a North American and you think that only the French and the English speaking have neurotic mindsets and affinities for worrying themselves to a frazzle over who we 'are', then this novela will be a surprise. 3.0 out of 5 stars The book was a complete dissappointment
I have read "Ella Imagina" and "Tonto, muerto, bastardo e invisible" and this last one "El desorden de tu nombre" was a real dissappointment. It is easilly read, but it is a very predictable book.

If you are a North American and you think that only the French and the English speaking have neurotic mindsets and affinities for worrying themselves to a frazzle over who we 'are', then this novela will be a surprise. It's the first contemporary Spanish novel I've read and I'll be reading more from this series. It's good intermediate to advanced Spanish reading; so much better than reading Spanish translations of American novels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good, one of the best of this author, November 5, 1997
By A Customer
As I'm spanish, I won't use english.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for kids., June 14, 2009

Someone commented that these novels were written for children. I've read about 8 of these little books, and they are not written for children, even the level 1 books. The book is simple enough to read, but one or two sentence structures took time to decipher. I find it interesting how the author use or "misuse" of an direct object was intentionally left in by the editor, but they made a comment for the student's benefit.
