Michael Drayton with the silver streak in his hair is determined not to go back to prison. But now he has a five thousand reward out on his capture.
Jessie MacAllister needs that reward. She decides to trap this renegade out in Silver Creek Canyon. As she watches him from a bluff she soon realizes that this guy is city born. She figures he might be easy to catch. Only Michael does not like the desert and its mysteries and decides to pull out. Jessie figures she will tag along. Michael is on the trail of Kerry Carter, the one man who could clear him. Sky Matthews, his former employer, is bound to bring Mike to heel for his spoiled daughter, Vanessa. She wants to marry Mike. Mike was allowed to go free, temporarily, by his long standing acquaintence and police man, Bob Taylor. Taylor is not far behind Mike in his wanderings. Jessie and Mike are on the run and end up picking up a youngster, Joey, who has an agenda of his own. An ingenious plot with great characters - well worth reading if you can find it. Definitely Recommended --M Another slip between the hormones and the lip. |
