Book Description

September 26, 2003
Three books containing the epic story of a lawyer named Intellect and a beagle named Intuition on the road to self-discovery.

What will they find?

Millions will read it as a children’s story and enjoy it immensely, but the sophisticated reader will see complexities revealed beyond their wildest expectations - including many subtleties of business, science, and religion.

The interchaptoral comments serve as "keys" to unlock the hidden mysteries contained in each amazing chapter. Also included are verbatim transcripts of lengthy discussions about each of the 3 books, involving a total of 11 leading experts in their fields.

The author’s recommendation is that you experience the story first in it’s pure form - listen to the audio CDs or read all 3 parts of the basic story. Then you explore the expert discussions to embark on a journey you’ll never forget.

Welcome to Destinae.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple? Maybe, and maybe not!, August 6, 2005
By
Steven List "Doc" (Austin, Texas, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Destinae (Hardcover)
Roy H. Williams, "The Wizard of Ads", is brilliant. This book is just one example of the breadth and depth and - well, whatever other dimensions there might be to thought. On the surface, a simple story of a journey. But Williams has done some surprising things.

For instance, after each book of the trilogy, he gathers together a group of people from diverse professions and backgrounds, and records their discussion of what the book is about. The transcripts of those unedited discussions are included. I was astonished at what I learned from those debates.

The levels and layers of subtlety are impressive.

This is a book about personal growth.

This is a book about business development.

This is a book about leadership and management.

This book is allegorical, entertaining, and hard to describe.

Read this book, then read it again, then read it at least one more time. Maybe, just maybe, you'll begin to plumb its depths.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kindle version is lacking, January 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Destinae (Kindle Edition)
The kindle version does NOT include the interchaptorial comments, which appears to take a lot away from the book. The surface story is fun and quick, though at times a little trite, as you would expect a children's story. The end of book transcripts are cool to read, and I especially enjoyed the first one, but there are constant references to the quotes and comments between chapters that I didn't read, which means that much of the meat of the book was unavailable.

On the plus side, it was only a dollar, so it's not like I feel a deep sense of loss, but it's a shame that the author's vision for the book wasn't able to come through on the Kindle.
