I read this book with kids (my grade school age) last advent season and they enjoyed it so much! It's set up in small chapters to read each day during advent. The story was engaging and we learned so much about the real Christmas story.

We stumbled upon this great story and our Advent Season was thoroughly enhanced by it. My four kids (ages 6,9,11, and 13) were asking for the next chapter read aloud each night. If you are looking for a way to keep the Advent season in perspective and help prepare your family to wait for Christmas this is a wonderful opportunity for you and your children. Enjoy!

A wonderful way to spend family reading time together during Advent. I love the historical notes which allow the story to be geared to different ages. A real treasure. My girls can't wait for a new chapter each evening. They yelled "It's time for Destination: Bethlehem!"
